Rude, ignorant, kreepy. i just attended a wedding . i feel sorry for the bride. they took almost the entire place of reservations . except two rooms that should not have ever been rented out . they kept complaining about noise and rightfully so but the inn was rude to book outsiders knowing there was a wedding.. the owner kept... more

No, No, and No. The website is deceiving! We we arrived, the placed looked like a junk yard! Literally! I believe they are renovating which explains the mess. However, the room we were initially booked to stay in didn't even have locks on the doors! The rooms were so cold! The hostess placed us in another room, which was very... more

We had an incredible trip! Our stay was comfortable, the people friendly - concierge was awesome - (great recommendations!) and the view was incredible! These photos speak for themselves! (Stay in Dauntless, the best room in the house! ) When we left, plans for renovations were in the making - we are excited to see how things come out -... more

Looks great from the outside but needs a complete remodel on the inside. The original remodel decades ago was done sloppy & cheap. Lots of clutty in the common areas. My skinny body could not turn around in the bathroom. The floor to the tub sloped so sitting on the toilet was a bit lopsided. The sink dripped. The view... more

Although not luxurious or fancy, you can't beat the view from this inn! This is a historic property; one of the oldest buildings in SW Harbor. We stayed in the Dauntless Suite, which was quite roomy, and the bed was very comfortable. The only thing about this particular suite was that the bath/shower is not adequate for large persons or... more

We were referred to the Moorings Inn by a woman at the Bar Harbor Visitor's Center. Upon arriving we noticed it was in the industrial part of town, but since it had a really beautiful view we decided to stay a couple of nights. The bed was really uncomfortable and the sheets smelled musty. There was no air conditioning, so... more

Pros: inexpensive, unassuming, neat, bed was comfortable. Cons: inconvenient location 30 min from prime park area. mold in bathroom, noisy, basic old decor. Lighthouse wing had thin walls (could hear neighbor voices), deck is narrow & not private, serving as the walkway to the 3 units in this trailer-like addition to the main house. Ancient 19" TV with worn out... more

We selected this place as it was close by weddng events we were attending. From the website the rooms looked great. When we arrived we were greeted and shown around and to our room. The room was different then we expected. The entire house is dated with narrow spaces and slanted walls. We did have a view of the water... more

I could not add to great previous review. We traveled here in OCT 07...what a great place. We stayed in a second floor apartment. We found this much better than busy, touristy Bar Harbor...very quiet, quaint and picture perfect. Near tasty Thurston's Lobster Pound. Don't forget to try Cadillac Mountain Stout [---------]. We had a little kitchenette and cooked a few... more

I cannot find a review on Trip Advisor for this Inn but it must not be overlooked. Situated on the outskirts of Southwest Harbour this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We could not believe the view from our bedroom window and private deck, we just went "wow". If you love views of the water filled with boats... more
