OK so this is the cheapest hotel available if you are going to Baxter State Park. You're in the middle of Maine and, if you're like me, you just drove a significant distance. You'll be up early to get to the trail head before the rangers give away your reserved spot too. So crash here! You're not looking for the... More

Needed to stay in Millinocket to be able to get an early start on hiking Mount Katahdin in Baxter State Park. I know many people would just camp, but I had been on the road prior and needed a bed. This place is located near the entrance to the state park, making it a suitable place to stay. Clean enough...... More

It's not the newest or prettiest place I've ever stayed, but it's clean and the location is close to everything. The hotel is dated and in need of some repair, but the staff were really nice and helpful. The air conditioner was so loud we couldn't hear the TV. They had a continental breakfast (coffee, tea, juice, milk, cereal, bagels,... More

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice breakfast room with waffles, Danish pastries, English muffins, bagels, cereal and juice. Room adequate and clean. Plenty of parking. Attached bar and Chinese restaurant with lunch buffet.

Location was excellent, about 35 minutes drive (at speed limit) to Tote Road Gate into Baxter State Park. Within a very short distance from the hotel there is a Rite-Aid, McDonald's, two grocery stores, and a Subway. There were apparently only a few people staying at the time I stayed so I cannot speak about noise from fellow travelers. Internet... More

Spent two nights here while hiking Katahdin. The motel is~ a 45 minute ride from the entrance to Baxter State Park. It was clean and comfortable however the motel is in need of some work. The rooms are old and ours had a broken chair and a very loud air conditioner. The room did have a refrigerator, blow dryer and... More

Room was very sm..bathroom so small you had to close the door and squeeze in before you could look in mirror. The toilet felt like it was going to break each time sitting down. the carpet was so dirty it felt like sticky wax..we kept our shoes on at all times. the coffee pot had some milky fluid in it..so... We stayed here for a night June 2013 and didn't end up staying long so keep that in mind with regards to the review. We were on a road trip and didn't get in until 1 AM, and check in was in the lounge. It was very quick and easy. The lounge had a great atmosphere and if we didn't... More

I took my son to Millinocket, Maine to put him on the Appalachian Trail as a Southbound Thru-Hiker. This motel is nothing fancy but served the purpose for two nights of lodging. I enjoyed the upstairs room with a balcony on the front as I watched the people and cars pass in the evening. The air was just perfect in... More

Nice people make sure you book an upstairs rooms the floors creak. Wireless network pants so don't expect to work using it? So book this venue if none of the above apply. The people who run it are fine and helpful
