We stayed for two nights at the Young House B&B. Plenty of parking space is available and restaurants are within walking distance. Maggie was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. The room (Baxter) was clean and cosy with a ensuite bathroom. The only thing we could critizise was that the towels were smelling moldy as if not dried properly... More

We're happy you enjoyed your stay with us, but wish you would have mentioned the towels while you were here so we could have replaced them for you. We strive to keep the rooms clean and well appointed. Sometimes unintentional mistakes occur and I apologize for this one. We hope it does not keep you from coming back again! More

We booked our stay at the Young House via their web site on the day of our arrival, what worked fine. It turned out to be a very nice place at a reasonable rate. Our room was nice and had all we needed. Breakfast is restaurant-style, you choose from a menu. It was very good, too.

Comfortable room and great breakfast. Very convenient to have the fridge for guests to refreeze our cooler packs overnight. Stayed in Mt Katahdin room which seemed slightly larger even with pedestal sink on 1 wall. It's toward front of the home so we heard some road noise but still slept well. Helpful information about restaurants in the town but less... More

Our room was very comfortable. There was an upstairs room for guests with a refrigerator and public computer. They have done a great job of restoring this home and adding ensuite baths for each bedroom. We felt safe walking around the neighborhood in the early evening. Breakfast was very filling. They have a multi- page menu to chose from. We... More

As others have commented, this is the first B&B I have stayed at that provides a menu for breakfast. More food than I could eat. Fred and Micki were great to talk with. Micki knows a lot about the area, especially hiking Mt Katahdin at the end of the Appalachian Trail, and where to go to see a Moose. I... More

To say that the breakfast was awesome is an understatement. We received a menu of many items to choose from, ranging from egg dishes to french toast. From the moment we walked in the door, we were made to feel welcome by Fred and Micki. The rooms were very nice. Though the town of Millinockett was less than picturesque, we... More

This past summer, my family and I spent a wonderful few days at Micki and Fred's lovely bed-and-breakfast. They have meticulously restored a large, beautiful home in Millinocket, which is very close to Baxter State Park. Baxter, it should be said, is a nature lover's heaven. Trails of all types, beautiful lakes, moose and amazing birds in a place not... More

At the very peak of fall color, we went up to Millinocket and stayed with Micki and Fred before going over the Golden Road (from Millinocket to Greenville). The room we were in was very nice and the breakfast was absolutely unbelievable. We did not anticipate a choice of many many extravagant full breakfasts. The B&B is very near the... More

An excellent B&B! Thumbs up for Micki and Fred! After the warm welcome, we were shown to our spacious, clean and charming room. The breakfast is just heavenly... the only problem was: what to choose! Located near the town center and only a 15min drive to Baxter State Park: close to shops and restaurants and ideal for hiking. We will... More
