I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place in Millinocket or to visit Baxter State Park. Micki and Fred are great people, breakfast was amazing (they had a menu with at least 15 items to choose from!) and they knew a lot about the area. Fred had climbed Mt. Katahdin last... More

I stayed here with my sisters and sister-in-law recently. We were in Millinocket to visit our niece who works for Baxter State Park. There were 4 of us and we each had a room. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The breakfasts were excellent. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again next time... More

My sisters, sister-in-law and I all came to Millinocket to visit with our niece and her beau. In addition to getting great pictures of a snow-capped Mount Katahdin, we had excellent accommodations at The Young House Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were all nicely decorated with private bathrooms. When you travel as a couple, I always like it when the... More

My daughter and I stated here one night on a dogsledding adventure. What an amazing comfortable and cute place. The owners have modernized the house yet retained its old charm. For anyone nervous about staying in a B&B and opting for a hotel you are making a big mistake if you don't try this. The Young House feels like home.

The inn itself is nice and the accomodations adequate but as other posters have indicated, the operators are a bit imposing with respect to rules etc, and do seem at times put out by the guests. The breakfast was good but unlike other of our numerious B&B experiences, not flexible at all in attempting to sample their offerings that morning.... More

Our goal at The Young House is to make sure each of our guests is happy with their stay in our home. We show each guest to their room to cover the amenities, answer any questions they may have, ask what time they would like to have breakfast, as well as cover the "rules". We have three which we ask... More

A very special THANK YOU to Micki and Fred for their hospitality. If you are traveling in Northern Maine to visit Mt. Katahdin and Baxter State Park this is the place to stay! Very high value for a reasonable cost. We only experienced one brief hiccup with our reservation and it was entirely a misunderstanding on our part. Ths B&B... More

We stayed there two nights for our 30th anniversary. Charming and clean. Friendly hosts and good homemade breakfast. Closest B&B to Baxter state park. Walking distance to downtown Millinocket, Maine. Reasonable price for this type of establishment. Interesting guests, a lot of International travelers. Especially from Europe where people enjoy a place's charm and character more than all its amenities.

Young House is a very comfortable five room B and B in the small town of Millinocket Maine. My room was nicely decorated and spacious. I liked that a full size refrigerator and microwave are available for the guests to use on the second floor where the rooms are located. A large front porch and lots of homey decorations make... I had such a wonderful time staying with Micki and Fred at The Young House B&B last month. As a single traveler, I enjoy staying in places that offer the opportunity to meet many people from many walks of life. The experience at the Young House afforded me just that - in addition to many great conversations with Micki herself!... More

We think the Young House Bed and Breakfast offers great value for the price - $95/weekend night for two in July. We came to hike Katahdin, and therefore were not spending a lot of time at our accommodation, so paying for a tonier place at $225+ per night did not make sense. What we liked: - Tasty breakfast included lots... More
