Overall, this was a very nice place to stay. The owners were very nice. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was laid out a little strange but afterall it is an old B&B, and to keep in touch with character (and meet new building codes) some odd placement of items is expected. There were plenty of choices... More

This place is fantastic!! We stayed in The Map Room for three nights at the Ice Fish Inn and loved every second of it. The owners are very caring and generous. We brought our dog with us and the inn keepers very kindly took care of her while we went white water rafting. The bathroom offered several toiletries from shampoo... More

We just spent two night at the Ice Fish Inn and it was all that we hoped for. Very friendly and helpful owners, nice rooms, nice big fluffy towels and bathrobes. Also, a delicious breakfast on the house a short way down the road at the local diner, which opens at 5:00 am for the hikers. Thanks Ice Fish Inn... More

We stayed here during a winter hike in Baxter State Park. The owner was super accommodating and sweet. He gave us a special rate for two rooms which we appreciated since it was low season -the map room and the angler room. We liked the quirky touches like the big round stuffed creatures in every room (and the stuffed frog... More

My daughter and I stayed here to rest after climbing Mount Katahdin. We found the owners and pets to be congenial and helpful. The dog warmed our feet as we sat on the couch and the cats warmed our laps after we coaxed them to our sides. Our tired bodies enjoyed the hot tub after we were handed bathrobes and... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights as we hiked Mt Katahdin one of those days. This inn, as mentioned in other posts, does not serve breakfast, but gives you a voucher to eat at the well known AT Cafe, which you can walk to. That cafe serves delicious food and you can order whatever you want. The... More

The owners are nice, attentive, and really trying hard to run their business. But they fundamentally don't understand how a B&B works. They use the B&B's living room and breakfast room as their own personal living space and the porch is a bit of a mess. There are two rocking chairs but also a lawnmower, their bikes and other miscellaneous... More

My wife and I extended our stay at the Ice Fish Inn due to an injury in the Appalachian Trail's 100-mile wilderness. (yes, the trail is difficult but I was extremely clumsy). We stayed in the Map Room and couldn't have been more pleased...the place was very clean, the Wi-Fi functioned great and the in-room fridge was kept stocked with... More

I'm not a frequent bed-and-breakfast stayer, so not real sure what normal is, but this seemed a bit abnormal. The room was fine. Free soda and water in the fridge, lots of cosmetic-type things available that I didn't use. The decorating was very strange - it was called the Medieval Room, but all it had medieval were a couple pictures... More

Our room was clean and the attached bathroom was newer and spacious, although I would have liked a counter to set toiletries on. The porch and other areas needs to be freed of the clutter. The fish tank would be a nice asset…..but it appears to be another unfinished project. The living room was clearly for the owners use and... More

I wish you'd mentioned these issues the night you were here, but we're still glad you brought them to our attention so that we can fix them, and I apologize for the discomfort. To address the points you brought up: We've added a substantial piece of horizontal space (a narrow table along the wall to the right of the sink)... More
