We stayed here in July '14 at the start of a vacation up around the Gaspe Peninsula. We arrived late, but our reservation was in order and we even got a free upgrade to a big suite. We had a great view of the Penobscot River out the back windows. There was plenty of room, including a small, well-appointed kitchenette... More

I stayed here with my Mom and her husband in July of 2013 while in Maine for a family reunion. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the 2 bedroom unit offered a full kitchen, dining table and living room area, as well as two small bedrooms and full bath. Everything was clean and in working order. The motel... More

Jayne, the proprietor, was exceedingly kind and welcoming upon our arrival. We had transported our motorcycles from Ohio in a van, and road into Canada and around Nova Scotia. Jayne allowed us to leave the van for the two weeks we were away and our rooms were very comfortable. She even mailed my water bottle to me after I had... More

The reason we chose to stay at this motel was due to the two bedroom suites with cooking facilities (two full bedrooms, living room, eat in kitchen, full bath and deck). Milford Motel panned out to be over-and-above satisfactory. Generally, I am very picky about accomodations, and was delighted by the cleanliness, great service, and convenience of the location (close... More

My daughter went to visit the University of Maine and we decided to make a "budget trip" to Orono one weekend. The low cost of the motel was great. The fact that you get a mini-fridge, microwave, a 2 burner stove AND 2 double beds sealed the deal for us. At first, the kind of older, small town look of... More

Always a nice place to stay. Have stayed here many times when visiting our son who goes to the University of Maine. Owners and employees always provide great service. Rooms are clean and affordable. Have always been happy with our accommodations. Would definitely recommend!

Our gang of 20 people made reservations at this motel after looking for a motel that was within a set distance to our hiking trail. We weren't too sure about it based on the website but were pleasantly surprised upon checking in. It isn't fancy but it is clean and our room had another separate bedroom, a kitchen, and a... More

Milford Motel is just out of the busy city centre of Milford. Not a bad location. However, like many of these motels, do not be deceived by their website. The room is not as nice nor clean as their website shows. We had a 2 bedroom plus kitchen unit. The bedrooms are reasonable spacious. A kitchen/dinning table is a welcome.... More

Jayne Z, Manager at Milford Motel on the River, responded to this review

It was a pleasure having these two ladies stay at our property. They arrived as an early check-in around 11:30 a.m., ( check-in is at 2PM) and the following day asked for an attended check- out, and they left around noon(usual check-out is at 10AM or before), we were glad to honor their request. I spoke to the guest at... More

Competively priced and friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable. It had a kitchenette which we utilized for takeout and coffee in the morning. A balcony offered a relaxing view of the river.
