I was on a mini vaca! Looking for value and ocean! Could I have found a different hotel/motel? probably, BUT, this was my stay, right off Rte 1. Rustic cabin=how much time do you really spend in the room on vaca? A cobweb, yup, but I can probably see one in my own CLEAN home. Did I have to wait... More

We stayed in cottage #4 for two nights. A very basic cottage at a good price. Everything was clean, and had a view of the ocean from the deck. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot. Manager was very nice.

Though the cottages are a little "rough", the premises were clean and adequate for an enjoyable get away. Pool was very clean and water was warm enough for me to swim! (this is saying a lot!) The proximity to Lincolnville, Belfast and Camden makes this a great choice for those enjoying day trips!

The cottages are cute from the outside, and have a really nice curb appeal. The single room cottage we rented was clean, and did have it's own deck off the back, even though there was no view of anything but a meadow. There is no view of the water, and also no access to it.The bed was a horrible thing,... More

Our cabin at Abbington's was clean and adorable, with little window boxes and a private deck. The sparkling clean swimming pool was worth the room rate alone (better than any in the area!) and the view of Penobscot Bay was amazing! The location couldn't have better- close to the beach in Lincolnville & easy drive to Camden for dinner. Plus,... More

Thin pillows (2), rough towels, tiny shower, no AC, no fridge, no microwave, no ice. Worst of all, NO COFFEE without having to drive into town, which precluded enjoying early morning on the deck. No checkout - just a key drop - so no receipt, either. My credit card was charged when I made my reservation, so, no cancellation. I... More

Management response:

We are sorry that this reviewer was somewhat less than satisfied with their stay. Although we admit that much of the review is fair, we must say that we had accommodations available that had all the amenities this reviewer wanted for just a bit more. (Our rooms and features are pictured and described on our website as is the cancellation... More

For the money, this place is perfectly adequate. You'll be hard pressed to find anything in the surrounding area to get a waterview room under $100/night. Great views of the Penobscot Bay! The manager, Greg, was super nice and helpful. They have individual cottages which are quaint - it's not luxurious, but it's clean, affordable, has a swimming pool, and... More

The motel has separate cabins, probably 15 total. We occupied the only 2 bedroom cabin. One room had two twin beds and the entry to the bathroom. The other room had a queen bed. The motel is well located and convenient to restaurants. The rooms smelled of mildew but turning on the heater helped the smell. The beds were comfortable.... More

We chose this place because of the cute cottages and cheap price and we got what we paid for.....mostly. I read another review that was right on the money. Tiny dingy bathroom with a shower stall made of thin aluminum. The water took forever to get warm and then scalds you during your shower.....only to turn to ice water after.... More

Such a nice place and such nice people who run it. You can't get better value on the Maine coast than this. Charming accommodations and a clean pool with a panoramic view of the Penobscot Bay while you swim. Convenient to everything you need to get to. We just needed some time away from the kids and spent time here.... More
