The Inn at Ocean's Edge was nice overall, with some surprising inconsistencies. The setting itself is lovely, with a lawn going down to the bay. The infinity pool is beautiful. We stayed in the Hillside building, on the first floor and a balcony - the ocean is only nominally visible from the first floor. The room itself was huge, but... more

My wife and I just returned from a five night stay at the beautiful Inn at Ocean's Edge and I wouldn't hestitate to recommend it to others. I admit, we probably couldn't have afforded our stay if not for their great early-season special, but that price combined with the amenities, location, and staff allow me to give this Inn the... more

We just got back from a beautiful honeymoon in coastal Maine. We stayed 6 nights in the poolhouse suite at the Inn at Ocean's Edge. It was wonderful! Very spacious suite, remakable views of Penobscot Bay from the balcony, the pool was beautiful and everyone was perfectly friendly and helpful. The Inn is close to several small towns that offer... more

My husband and I along with another couple spent 2 nights at this lovely Inn. We were welcome by the Innkeepers and were treated to cocktails on the outside patio overlooking the ocean. The rooms were spacious and clean, and althought I agree that the decoration leaves a lot to be desired (especially when there are so many local artist),... more

The Inn at Ocean's Edge is a true gem. There is nothing like it in the Camden-Lincolnville area. It was built to the high standard of the AAA Four Diamond Award and has won them every year with out any hesitation. With every year that passes it only gets better and better. I know because I have been there very... more

For more than twenty years my husband and I have been seeking the "perfect" inn on the New England coast without much success, but we discovered this Inn on our way up to Acadia National Park in August and loved it so much that we stopped again on our way back home in September. This is absolutely the closest we... more

There has obviously been major investment in the property but this is reflected in the 'cough' ambitious pricing. It's good but not that good. Good - the location and views are outstanding and the grounds are beautiful. The rooms are large and spotless. Bad - breakfast was a shambles each morning. There is nowhere near enough room for the number... more

This place should receive an excellent review.... beautiful property, spacious rooms, friendly service. There is only one problem: KIDS! The Inn is advertised as "no children under 14 permitted," however, that was certainly not the case; this policy was not at all enforced. My husband and I booked this vacation as a quiet, peaceful getaway without the children. We took... more

While we do find it regrettable that the reviewer's guest experience was affected by the children of a family staying at our Inn, we feel that we need to point out that The Inn at Ocean's Edge does not advertise: "no children under 14 permitted," rather, we do point out on our website and other literature that: "The Inn is...

My wife and I have been going to the Inn for four years. Our experience has been wonderful each time. I have read some of the negative reviews and wonder if they are speaking of the same facility. I have NEVER found the staff anything but pleasant and helpful. In fact, on our last visit I left my bathing suit... more

My wife and I, along with my mother in law, stayed at the Inn for two days and one night, having called and spoken to the Innkeepers concerning our need for a "suite." A suite, in most languages, means a room with TWO separate living areas, typically a bedroom and a living area, which usually has a sleeper sofa. Despite... more
