Mt. Battie Motel has lovely views and is very well tended. The breakfast is quite nice--especially when there are brownies! :) We stayed in the suite, which worked nicely for us in terms of space and a place to hang out. Maine is pricey, and this wasn't cheap, but it did work out well for our purposes.

We stayed two nights here not too long ago. The good--the breakfast, with the home-baked goods, was delicious and it was peaceful sitting on the front deck on a beautiful morning. The view was nice and far enough back from the road so we weren't disturbed. The not-so-good--a musty odor in the room, the practically non-existent water pressure in the... More

The rooms were very clean, there is plenty of attention to detail. It has both a motel feel (rooms are separate and outside accessible) but with the hospitality of a Bed and Breakfast. Ed and Christine are the most welcoming and helpful hosts you will ever meet. You feel like you are a guest at their house but with all... More

We spent 3 nights at this lovely motel. The room was more like a bed and breakfast with all the special touches. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast consisted of homemade cakes and breads, coffee, tea, oatmeal, etc. I enjoyed it but my husband especially enjoyed it as I rarely bake like that anymore. The location... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our last night in Maine at Mt Battie! Ed and Christine went out of their way to make us feel very welcome! From the location, to the home baked sweet breads, (my weakness), we felt right at home! The room was exceptionally clean. Our hostess' attention to small details in our room and surroundings, helped make our... More

Congenial hosts compensate for the dated rooms. Lovely site; with limited view of Penobscot Bay from the upper level of property. Damp odor to room;cramped bath/amenities area. Tiny closet. Shabby towels, note indicating which cloths to use to remove makeup! Continental breakfast available , but only seating is on outside porch of office; even when raining. Altho sheltered by stylish... Just spent a few days with friends staying at the Mount Battie Motel and had a great time. The rooms are very clean and provide all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The owners Ed and Christine are great people and should be hired by the Chamber of Commerce as I don't think there are better ambassadors of the... More

Mount Battie Motel is the perfect spot for those who are staying in the Lincolnville area. Great access to the ferry going to Islesboro. Camden (and all its great shops) just minutes away. Christine and Ed will make you feel welcome. Christine's bake goods (free for your breakfast) are beautiful and delicious. Need advice about "what to see," "where to... More

My hiking friend and I have been going to the Mount Battie on and off for 15 years. It is the best its ever been! Ed and Christine are fantastic hosts! The room we've had is in perfect shape, well maintained and clean. The continental breakfast is superb. All sorts of breads, cakes, hard-boiled eggs, muffins, juices, coffee--everything you would...
