Took a room on the third level which was furthest from the road and very nicely presented. Towels were replaced every day and the room tidied but probably not actually cleaned in the three nights we stayed. Breakfast is astonishing but you need a sweet tooth to do justice to the biggest array of hand made fresh pastries, muffins and... more

Good price. Great Location. Nice Room. Bathroom - not so good. Missing a shelf/towel bar? Couldn't really tell, just the brackets were there. Discolored and worn flooring, torn and dirty shower curtain liner, tub cauking old, cracked, and discolored. Frayed towels and bath mats. Stayed 3 nights. Bed made and towels replenished, but other than that not much done. NO... more

Just can't say enough about this hotel! Ed and Christine, the owners, have gone all out to make their guests comfortable and to feel at home. When you arrive, they are both ready to greet you and welcome you with coffee or tea and plenty of information regarding the area and what there is to do and see. They have... more

This is a great place to stay for the price. The owners are fantastic and the breakfast they prepare is wonderful. It's not a good idea to keep the windows open at night as it gets noisy with the traffic from the main road. It's also difficult to control the temperature in the room and we had a hard time... more

Stayed for 2 nights. The beds were comfy, sheets and bedding clean and attractive. The room was a good size, plenty of room for the 3 of us--had 2 queen beds. The breakfasts were very good--plenty to choose from and very tasty. Christine does a great job with the baked goods and the set up of the breakfast offerings was... more

We went to Maine and stayed at the Mount Battie Inn from 8-23 to 8-27-09. We had a wonderful stay. It was quiet relaxing, and a home away from home. we were treated like royalty. Everyone was so friendly and went out of the way to help us and do anything for us that they could. The owners Ed &... more

Camden is an incredibly beautiful area with lodging options with historical bed and breakfasts, historical motels or cottages. Booked a family deluxe suite over the phone in 3/2009 with owner Ed based on Tripadvisor reviews. The family deluxe suite is their largest suite. I booked it for 5 nights as I was traveling with family. During our conversation, he gave... more

Imagine 15 different kinds of fresh-baked muffins, sweet-rolls, and breads, all for free, all available along with free coffee and orange juice. Imagine eating this on a deck looking out over a beautuful bay in Maine. If this sounds like a nice way to start your day, you want to spend a night or two at the Mount Battie Motel,... more

The Mount Battie Inn was a great choice for our trip last week. We travel at least 6 weeks a year and I was a little apprehensive about this property because the photos made it look like a typical roadside motel and I found out that perception was wrong. I "took a chance" based on the reviews by TripAdvisor members... more

The Inn/Bed and Breakfast is really a motel. However, the rates are very inexpensive. The clean and comfortable rooms are equipped with refrigerator and coffee maker. The staff are friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast, self - serve. Despite being close to the road, it was very quiet. There's a little slice of ocean view from the breakfast porch. Close to... more
