We had such a lovely welcome from Dorothee and Rob, our apartment was large, comfortable and homely, the view across the water was tremendous. Dorothee and Rob also run The Whale's Tooth pub and restaurant, the food is first class, with excellent weekend entertainment. We loved s trying here and would love to go back. We loved this place. We rented the Crows next as the Beach Cottage Inn is on a fairly busy road. The Crows nest is in the back with a deck and a great view. It was very quiet. Had a kitchenette and living room area. The Hosts were great and we felt at home. Does not serve breakfast but there... More

The INN by far was the cleanest we have ever stayed at. Being right on the water in this Quaint village was extra special. We walked every where to eat and shop just a great location. Dorothee and Rob were very nice, they run a wonder place. looking forward to another stay.

We had such a great experience with Rob and Dorothee Newcombe at this small innt! Were in the midst of a white-knuckled drive south to Portland ME from Downeast in a freak blinding early November snowstorm that had trees and electric wires down everywhere. Found ourselves nearly stranded but then spotted Rob shoveling out in front of the only place... More

You won't regret it! The location is perfect: right on the water and a perfect jump off point for all your Maine adventures. You'll wake up in a cozy and perfectly appointed room, missing absolutely nothing and ready to start your day. The place is clean, quiet and equipped with everything you might need. The back porch is a perfect... More

We stumbled on Beach Cottage Inn while trying to have a nice getaway - we wanted something near the water - It was wonderful - we were amazed at how the rooms were laid out - alot of thought had to go into it - 3 units per floor , which can be rented either all together , 2 together... More

We stumbled on to this charming hotel by accident and stayed 3 nights. Each room in individually configured and decorated. The common sitting areas and wonderful porch overlooking the bay are bonuses. Dorothee and Rob couldn't have been better hosts giving us personal attention and suggestions for activities in the area. The Whale's Tooth Pub next door serves terrific food... More

We arrived late in the afternoon without reservations and were warmly greeted by Dorothee who showed us a beautiful two room suite on the second floor overlooking the bay. We enjoyed a good dinner at the next door restaurant (also run by Dorothee and Rob) and ended up extending our stay for an extra day to enjoy an evening windjammer... More

The Beach Cottage in had beautiful scenery, comfortable rooms, and convenient location. We stayed in the smallest/cheapest room, "The Puffin Nest", with our friend in the adjoining room "The Bowdoin". Had we not been a double party, it might have been strange to have a door into a strangers room, and we could hear everything next door, but it didn't... More

Our wonderful hosts/owners Rob and Dorothee Newcomb made this vacation very special. Located 100 feet or so from the ocean is a definite plus, you can watch the local ferry comings and goings and the beat of the sea life - gulls, herons, plovers nearby. They have a great pub on the premises Whale's Tooth Pub with an amazing chef and...
