this is a wonderful B and B which is actually just 12 min from downtown Camden and the ocean, but feels very rural, close to lots of trail heads in the Camden State Park and a stone's throw from the lovely Lake Megunticook. the food is amazing - breakfasts are included and they are delicious. Best blueberry pancake ever -... More

I found the a Youngtown Inn and Restaurant while looking on Trip Advisor for something different than the downtown Camden places. The dinner was so good and the atmosphere so pleasing that we returned the next night. Another delicious meal was served to us. My husband loved his steak so much that he ordered it again on night two. I... More

Our first experience at the Inn was to meet and plan for our wedding reception there in 1993. Being from the area, we were exceptionally fortunate to have access to what the Merciers have created at the corner of Youngtown and Camden Roads. Since that time, we have enjoyed family gatherings, birthdays, reunions, New Years and a 50th anniversary for... More

This was our third trip to Camden and the Youngtown Inn. We just love the Inn and the wonderful and pleasant owners. The great breakfasts and terrific dinners, prepared by Manuel(French Chef) , along with Mary Ann, a warm and charming host and the other half of the team. We are always made to feel very special by everyone including... More

Our family took up four rooms of this inn for the weekend of my sister's wedding. From the first step into the doorway, we were treated like old friends and the whole weekend was wonderful from beginning to end. Manuel is a trained French chef; the dishes that were served for breakfast, as well as the meal for my sister's... More

For two consecutive years, we have vacationed in Camden and stayed at the Youngtown Inn—as a matter of fact, the inn was one of the reasons we came back to Maine the second time. There's plenty to rave about, though most of it has already been said here on TripAdvisor: the rooms are clean and cozy, the food is incredible,... More

Just a few minutes out from Camden, Maine you will find this gorgeous inn. Ideally located near vineyards as well as the seaside, it is a perfect jumping off point to visit the state of Maine. The rooms are delightful, and offer outside sitting areas with peaceful views of the surrounding country side. Owners MaryAnn and Miguel provide a truly... More

We spent the weekend there because it was close to the Cellardoor Winery Vinfest. The food, atmosphere and room was AMAZING! Maryann and Manuel are gracious hosts and this is one of the best places to stay if you come to this area! I plan to come back...often!

I travel around the State of Maine on both Business and Pleasure and I must say the Youngtown Inn is as good as it gets. Both Manuel and MaryAnn are great hosts and the Restaurant is one of the very best in the entire state. The Inn is in close proximity to Celladoor Winery which also is one of the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Youngtown Inn is a classic 1810 farmhouse built proudly upon two centuries of New England heritage. This grand old house was the center of the Young family's poultry and dairy farm for more than seven generations. Our intimate Inn offers six comfortable and romantic guestrooms, each with a private en-suite bath. Some rooms offer queen canopy or sleigh beds, balconies and fireplaces. All rooms offer generous amenities and the convenience of free wireless internet. The tastefully decorated guest rooms, sunny verandas, broad pumpkin pine floors, and brick fireplaces capture the warm feel of beautiful rural Maine. Located along Route 52 near Lake Megunticook, it is the perfect vacationing spot for exploring the mid-coast of Maine, taking ferry rides to nearby islands, swimming, boating, visiting the area's quaint shops, the Nature Conservancy and concerts at the Opera House as well as the Lobster Festival in nearby Rockport. In winter, the Camden Snow Bowl is a major attraction. ... more   less
