I stayed here for a work trip to the Portsmouth area. I simply wanted a clean and safe place to stay without spending an arm and a leg. I called all around and this seemed to be the most reasonably priced lodging in the area. My only complaint was that there was too much furniture for the size of the... more

What a pleasant surprise! We needed a room in Kittery for one night, and picked this gem based on previous guest reviews. We appreciated being able to take advantage of special Fall rates, then were happily surprised when the room exceeded our expectations. It was not only very clean, but also quite spacious, and all our needs were met very... more

This hotel has a great location. You can literally walk to the outlet shops. It is close to many restaurants, ten min. drive to Portsmouth NH. It is a nice base for a trip to the White Mountains to see the beautiful fall colors. The cost of the room (AAA rate) was approx. $100 and with that came a very... more

I had booked this motel for 1 night. I booked the reservation online. We had to change our travel plans, therefore I had to cancel. I went back to my email confirmation (from motel)and read that in order to cancel it had to be done via the internet. So i used the same email address that the confirmation had come... more

Unfortunately, I believed the reviews I read about this hotel. This hotel is old, carpet stained, bathrooms very small, breakfast less than ordinary-toaster doesn't work. I have never written a review before but feel compelled to be honest after reading the glowing reports which are not truthful. We usually stay in well known mid price motels and this is so... more

The Coachman Inn is a very clean, very well decorated, very well equipped, very comfortable place to stay--especially if you are going to Kittery for the shopping in the (millions?) of outlets, or the Kittery Trading Post. It's easy to reach, right on Route 1, next door to Yummies candy shop which is a destination in itself. The Continental breakfast... more

An excellent breakfast in the reception area, coffee available all day too. Very convenient for the Kittery outlets. more

We had a wonderful stay at the Coachman Inn. We originally booked for only 2 nights and ended up staying for the whole week !! From the time we arrived, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the accomodations were clean, cozy and comfortable. The location is superb for shopping and traveling either up the coast to Portland or... more

The Coachman Inn is very conveniently positioned for a shopping trip to the Kittery area. Even though it is on a main road, we found our room out in the back section very quiet. The 2-nignt special offered off-season for $99.90 was a great deal, even adding the $10/night pet fee. (They offer designated pet rooms, so those allergic to... more
