hasn't changed since I was a child. Still old fashioned, and right in the center of town!-=) more

Thank you does not come close to what I would extend to the new owners. You have done a wonderful job with this grand old girl and I will be back to experience the dining room and see all the projects completed. My husband and I were travelling through and were getting very tired and needed a place to retire... more

We were travelling though with another couple and reserved ahead not quite knowing what to expect. We were looking for a reasonably priced place, clean, with decent beds, and the 2 bedroom king fit the bill. The king bedroom is spacious and has a fireplace: the second bedroom has 2 twin beds. A solid door separates the rooms, so is... more

Due to the unforseen circumstances surrounding our stay, Rob, Adam, Dawn were absolutely the most kind and generous people I have encountered in many years of traveling. They went out of their way to accomodate myself and my family to make sure we had the perfect experience, and more importantly to make sure we had all the ammedities needed to... more

The Herbert Hotel is a throwback to a different age. It is a real. old time Hotel with great atmosphere. The staff could not have been any nicer or more helpful. The new owners have done a great job restoring and updating the place without losing the Hotel's old time charm. Staying at the Herbertl is like stepping into a... more

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at The Herbert Grand Hotel earlier this month. We were unaware of the charming surprise that awaited us. Upon walking in we were greeted by the warmth of this historic property. One of the new owners, Rob was on hand to offer us the history and a fun tour. His knowledge... more

If I had 10 visits to Sugarloaf Mountain for skiing or golfing, I would stay at the Herbert Grand Hotel 10 out of 10 times rather than the ski lodges on the mountain. The hotel is about a 100 years old, but the owners have done a great job of keeping the 1918 era feel while at the same time... more

What an enjoyable first experience! The Herbert Grand Hotel is the centerpiece of the town -- and so easy to reach by car. Walking into the lobby feels like stepping into another era -- the Roaring Twenties -- beautifully cared-for fumed wood wainscotting, lovely original brass fixtures (modernly wired), a friend atmosphere with soft seating, and friendly and congenial hosts.... more
