Three Stanley Avenue is an outstanding place for a couple stay over a snowy weekend in Sugarloaf, Maine. The location is excellent: 20 minutes drive from the slopes at Sugarloaf, a 5 minute drive to great cross country skiing with Maine Huts and Trails, and a 5 minute walk to the town of Kingsfield. The service was stellar. We arrived... More

This is an amazing little place. It feels like you're staying at a friend's empty house. Great food, clean rooms, close to the mountain. The chef Dan blends classic European cooking with Maine elements - venison stroganoff, lobster curry in a dill sauce... just awesome.

We went to meet a highschool classmate that I had not seen for years. He was staying at Sugaloaf Mountain. We wanted someting smaller in Kingfield. We had heard about a B+B calledThree Stanley Avenue. We were intrigued by the connection with the home of the inventors of the Stanley Steamer. It was a beautiful old Victorian building. The room was very... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night on our way to hike Maine Huts & Trails. Due to some awful traffic on the way up, we arrived very late. One of the owners, Susan, took the time to call me and go over everything while we drove up. She left the AC on for us, gave us a... More

We stayed 5 nights at the beginning of March to ski at Sugarloaf. I can also say, "This is a great place to stay!" The picture associated with this listing and the other recent reviews say it all. Having their restaurant next door means that you need to put your jacket on to go to breakfast but meals are well... More

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful B&B in late February prior to skiing through the nearby Maine Huts and Trails System. The property has been beautifully restored and maintained. My first floor room was very nicely furnished with a comfortable bed and a great ensuite highlighted by an original claw foot tub. My friends and I enjoyed... More

This is a great place to stay!! Many updates including a massive jet style tub have been made. The beds are comfortable and it is close to the Mountain. The owners are super friendly and the breakfast will get you through a big junk of the day! It feels like staying with friends. If you have a chance to stay... More

We recently stayed a couple days there for our honeymoon ski trip. Place was wonderful. Very clean beautiful home and had some nice charm throughout the whole building. We stayed in a "shared bathroom" so that we could be in the same room for our entire trip. The upstairs is only 3 rooms (2 rooms with a full each and... More

We stayed one night at Three Stanley Avenue in late August. Three Stanley is one of two adjacent large 1900's homes set side-by-side on a quiet street at the village's edge. One Stanley is both the owner's residence and a restaurant; breakfast is served there year round. (The restaurant is in full use in winter, but not open other than... More
