We stayed at this inn for 2 nights as a cheap alternative to more costly accommodations close to the mountain. It is in fact very cheap, but you get what you pay for. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, but there is no TV, no common living area for an acres ski glass of wine or tea, no... More

My wife and I decided on a last-minute foliage ride through western Maine in Sept 2014. But all the easy-to-find places to stay were either expensive, very expensive, or booked. We finally came across the Stanley Ave B&B, which was relatively inexpensive and had vacancies. Despite some initial misgivings because it was significantly less expensive than others anywhere nearby, it... More

My wife and I spent one night at Three Stanley Avenue Inn on our way from Montreal to Bar Harbour and our stay was wonderful. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with antiques. The mattress was comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. The next morning, the very nice owner greeted us for breakfast in a very... More

Three Stanley Avenue is an outstanding place for a couple stay over a snowy weekend in Sugarloaf, Maine. The location is excellent: 20 minutes drive from the slopes at Sugarloaf, a 5 minute drive to great cross country skiing with Maine Huts and Trails, and a 5 minute walk to the town of Kingsfield. The service was stellar. We arrived... More

This is an amazing little place. It feels like you're staying at a friend's empty house. Great food, clean rooms, close to the mountain. The chef Dan blends classic European cooking with Maine elements - venison stroganoff, lobster curry in a dill sauce... just awesome.

We went to meet a highschool classmate that I had not seen for years. He was staying at Sugaloaf Mountain. We wanted someting smaller in Kingfield. We had heard about a B+B calledThree Stanley Avenue. We were intrigued by the connection with the home of the inventors of the Stanley Steamer. It was a beautiful old Victorian building. The room was very... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night on our way to hike Maine Huts & Trails. Due to some awful traffic on the way up, we arrived very late. One of the owners, Susan, took the time to call me and go over everything while we drove up. She left the AC on for us, gave us a... More

We stayed 5 nights at the beginning of March to ski at Sugarloaf. I can also say, "This is a great place to stay!" The picture associated with this listing and the other recent reviews say it all. Having their restaurant next door means that you need to put your jacket on to go to breakfast but meals are well... More

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful B&B in late February prior to skiing through the nearby Maine Huts and Trails System. The property has been beautifully restored and maintained. My first floor room was very nicely furnished with a comfortable bed and a great ensuite highlighted by an original claw foot tub. My friends and I enjoyed... More

This is a great place to stay!! Many updates including a massive jet style tub have been made. The beds are comfortable and it is close to the Mountain. The owners are super friendly and the breakfast will get you through a big junk of the day! It feels like staying with friends. If you have a chance to stay... More
