What a great place to stay. My husband and were celebrating our anniversary and only stayed one night. Wish we had a chance to stay longer. From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, the service was great. Great breakfast included and friendly staff. Hoping to go back and visit again soon and stay a bit longer. more

I reserved the Excelsior room for my wife and I for our 5th anniversary, and the stay was fantastic. I'll try to break it down into parts: THE ROOM Can't say enough about it - HUGE, comfortable, clean, etc. The bathroom was amazing, with heated tile floors (not that we needed it in July), 2-person jacuzzi and double sink. It was a perfect size for us. King-sized bed was very comfortable, the gas fireplace worked... more

My husband and I made our second trip to the Captain Lord Mansion in May of 2009. We spent one night at the Mansion, and we wished we would've made time to spend a few more nights. On this trip, we stayed in the Oriental suite, and it was beautiful. The room was elegant, but comfortable. On our arrival, we found cookies waiting in the room in celebration of our second visit to the Mansion,... more

Stayed in the Champion room for a couple of days in May, just before the summer rush. Found the room to be very clean, with a nice gas fireplace and awesome two person whirlpool tub. The bed was very comfortable, and upon request, the staff removed all the down pillows/comforters, and replaced them with non-allegenic versions. We found the Staff to be friendly and unobtrusive. The sitting couch was not particularly comfortable, but that would... more

We fell in love with the new friends at Captain Lord Mansion, and we want to return very sooon! It is the most wonderful, exsquisite, and charming bed and breakfast. When we arrived we felt like royalty from the moment we walked in, until we departed. The breakfast is the most phenomenal, delicious, and delightful treats to awaken too! I want to personally thank Sue, Anne, Donna, Rick, and my new friend Meegan that spoiled... more

We were married at The Captain Lord Mansion in 1998. We have returned for each anniversary. For our 10th we rented the entire Inn for 2 nights so that our family and friends could celebrate with us. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made. It's impossible to describe how helpful and gracious Bev and Rick and their staff were to us and our guests throughout the planning stage and visit. It... more

We would return in a heartbeat! Each room is so comfortable, well appointed and tastfully decorated. Our three days in Kennebuckport were a bit rainy and grey but staying at The Captain Lord Mansion made it a great trip for us. The breakfasts were fantastic and all the staff are very, very nice. We recommend this B&B highly. Lois McGuire, New Vernon, NJ more

I just returned from my first trip to Kennebunkport, Maine. I took my mother for her 70th birthday and stayed at the Captain Lord Mansion. I research the bed and breakfasts and every travel book said the Captain Lord Mansion was the best. We stayed in the Champion suite and it was beautiful. The staff went out of their way to make everyone feel extra special. The best part of the trip was the beautiful... more

Upon arrival at the Captain Lord Mansion we were greeted by a very pleasant and helpful receptionist who gave us a nice tour. Our room was very beautiful and comfortable and looked out over the garden. Lots of nice little extras are provided for guests - loved the iced lattes and brownies in the afternoon and hot tea, cocoa, coffee bar that is always available. Breakfast was divine! The chef was more than happy to... more
