This is the nicest B&B my wife and I have ever stayed in. It was spotless, lavishly decorated and the service was impecible. The food was excelllent and the location was ideal, within wlaking distance of downtown Kennebunkport. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the area. more

The Captain Lord Mansion came highly recommended. It was absolutely beautiful. The pictures don’t due the inn and rooms any justice. Breakfast was delicious. There are two seating times for breakfast and there are two big tables in the kitchen and you sit with others staying at the inn. We enjoy meeting new people, so this was a bonus. There... more

My husband and I stayed in the Oriental Room for 2 nights after a week hiking up in Acadia National Park. We wanted to relax and feel a little pampered, and we definitely got both. The room was beautiful and huge. The jacuzzi bathtub was great, and the bed was king size and so comfortable! It was extremely quiet once... more

Bautiful old sea mariner mansion in the heart of Kennebunkport. Walk anywhere from this spot. Terrific grounds and a well maintained mansion. The rooms are large and spacious, and our bathroom was immense, with both a grand tub and a shower with two pedestal sinks. The breakfasts were superbly prepared and the staff were truly interested in making your stay... more

Not having stayed at a bed and breakfast before, my husband and I booked our reservation on the advice of friends who stayed there earlier this year. We are so glad we did! The staff was friendly and helpful. The inn was so clean, quiet, and felt just like home....no, better! We stayed in the "Harvest" room, which was beyond... more

The staff was most helpful and went out of their way to be even more helpful. Our room was immaculate as was the entire Inn. Even the rain did not dampen our attitude, not one bit!! Little things.....make-up wipes in every room,... more

We had a very nice stay at the Captain Lord Mansion. It was exactly what we had imagined it to be based upon the website pictures. We stayed in the Regulator room, which is on the third floor. We dont mind stairs, but if you do pick something on the second floor. The Regulator is a large, comfortable room with... more

We stayed in the largest room for our Honeymoon. The room itself was nice, as was the breakfast. Unfortunately, the stay was spoiled by the lack of caring or attention to detail on behalf of the staff. The beach chairs we were given for our trip to the beach were broken (and cheap). The hot water did not work in... more

I am somewhat surprised at this review because upon their arrival at the inn, we upgraded this couple from a standard room in our second building to the honeymoon suite in the main inn at no additional charge for the upgrade. Also, we provided champagne, chocolates and a limited edition print of the inn as our comlimentary honeymoon gifts. At...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Captain Lord Mansion in the Regulator room and were overwhelmed by the magnificence of this inn as soon as we walked through the door. Everything about the Captain Lord Mansion is perfect. The hosts are gracious, the room is meticulous, the food is superb. If a person stays 10 times at this inn... more

I've been staying with Rick and Bev at the Capt. Lord since the mid- 80's. It's always been the highlight of any Maine trip I've been on. This year we happened to be there for the 30th anniv. of The Capt. The Capt. Lord not only is one of America's finest Inns it's an inn in continual motion. I've never... more
