We have been going to southern Maine every summer for the past 40 years, and have stayed at most if not all of the better establishments in the Kennebunkport and Ogunquit area. This place is the best of the best. It is nestled at the end of a quiet dirt road in a setting that can only be described as... more

In a town full of unique and special B&Bs, we return to Bufflehead Cove annually. It's probably our favorite B&B anywhere, and we've travelled throughout the US and UK. Beautiful location, fine old house, great food and genuine hospitality. more

This is the most amazing B&B I've ever stayed at. The location is great, not far from a very quaint town center that has cute stores and art shops. The inn's setting is idyllic, on a lovely cove with beautiful flowers, trees, great outdoor seating areas, and a nice huge lawn. It is a very romantic setting, especially if you... more

We stayed in the River Cottage at the Bufflehead Cove Inn the last weekend of May for a romantic getaway weekend. Everything about it was incredible. From the delicious breakfasts served on the front porch of the inn, to the turn down service, to the complete privacy, we couldn't ask for anything more. The cottage is beautifully decorated, and the... more

We stayed at the Bufflehead Cove Inn in June and early December. Each time, we had a terrific stay! The owners are very warm, friendly, and helpful. The breakfasts are outstanding! The accomodations are also outstanding. We stayed in the Riverview Cottage each time. It is very large, beautiful, cottage, and we felt it was worth the extra price. When... more

Having travelled all day it was wonderful to arrive at such a charming place. Our hosts were marvellous and could not have been more helpful and kind. It was our last night and our room was the best we had stayed in our whole trip and we had travelled and stayed in many places. There was everything we could possibly... more

This Inn is exceptionally well-run. The building and location are beautiful and it's spotlessly clean. The owners are incredibly helpful and the breakfasts lovely. Although it is not cheap, you get what you pay for. They clearly want you to leave happy and make a great effort. I genuinely couldn't fault it in any respect. more

My husband and I had planned to stay at the Bufflehead Cove Inn two weekends ago. We arrived just in time to learn that our three year old had been admitted to the hospital back home in Chicago. Thankfully, it was an astma attack and not something worse as originally feared. First of all, Harriet (the innkeeper) could not have... more

My husband and I have visited Bufflehead Cove once a summer over the past 17 years. It's hard to know where to begin when describing all of the wonderful aspects of our experiences there. Would it be the beautiful scent of fresh flowers (often Lillies) in the main entry room of the Inn, or the very friendly canine, Lily, or... more

We stayed here for three nights in the River Room. This is the smallest room & Harriet did warn us of this but at the time of booking it was the only room available. However, it was clean, comfortable & quiet - our main criteria for a stay anywhere. The owners were the perfect hosts & always on hand to give... more
