I spent many long hours trying to decide where to stay on a recent trip to Kennebunkport, Maine as there are many great offerings in this quaint seaside village. My wife and I could not have been happier with our choice. The inn is located on the river nestled in the woods and is a fantastic get-a-way spot, very tranquil... more

My new hubby and I celebrated our honeymoon on a fly drive of New England and were recommended the Bufflehead Cove Inn prior to leaving for the States by another local inn. Harriet gave us the honeymoon suite which has views of the stunning river from the bed. We enjoyed a jacuzzi bath with a split of on-the house champagne.... more

This is our third getaway to Bufflehead Cove. We love everything about this inn. It's quaint, comfortable and you really feel welcome. The weather was the only disappointing part. We usually sit on the front porch over looking the river for breakfast, but we had to eat inside due to the rain. Every breakfast is different and delicious. We already... more

Thought it would be nice to finally give Bufflehead Cove Inn its' due. I have been visiting this B&B since 1989. First with close girlfriends, then every year thereafter with my husband. Already booked time again this October!! It is just the best way to relax and enjoy the surroundings any season you choose. Enjoy a relaxing stay. You don't... more

I chose this place as our destination to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary because of the website. Everything seemed "right" for us: its location on the Kennebunk River so we could put our kayaks in there if we wished, a secluded room/suite with its own deck on the water, close proximity to downtown shops and other kayaking areas, lots of... more

Gerry and I try our best to visit Bufflehead Cove twice per year - the inn is consistently excellent in all aspects of what one expects of a peaceful and romantic getaway. We have stayed in the Hideaway Suite and, most recently, the River Cottage and both accommodations offer understated luxury with terrific amenities and wonderful views of the river.... more

My husband and I returned for our second visit to this Inn. What a great experience. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The Inn is clean, well decorated, and very relaxing. We have stayed at several Inns and this by far is our favorite. The rooms are beautiful. Breakfast is excellent. We hope to return again next year. more

Bufflehead Cove Inn provides perfect comfort in a setting of ideal beauty -- both outside the Inn and within each room. Every detail of a guest's needs and desires are anticipated perfectly and filled with quiet perfection. For example, when our hostess, Harriet, learned that we were interested in the shipbuilding history of Kennebunkport, she immediately provided us with a... more

What an amazing experience!!! My husband and I chose this as our honeymoon location and we can't wait to go back. The scenery was beyond our wildest expectations. Harriett and her family treated us as if we were a part of their family. We stayed in the "balcony room" and the "hideaway". Each room had it's own personality, and both... more

There are not enough superlatives for the Bufflehead Cove Inn. We loved it! Everything was perfect from the cozy Cove room and the wine and cheese reception in front of a roaring fire to the hand made chocolates and gormet breakfast. If you are thinking about staying in Kennebunkport stop thinking and book a room here! more
