First time in Kennebunkport. Not a lot of options in the area that were affordable. It was pricey, but nice. The bathrooms need a bit of cleaning/updating. Great with the frig in the room. The patio off our slider was nice to sit and watch the ducks and water and sunsets. The patio area had bikes to borrow (no helmets... More

This was our first stay at the Yachtsman during our 8th or 9th visit to Christmas Prelude. We usually stay at the Kennebunkport Inn, The Boathhouse, or The Captain Lord Mansion when rooms are available (all of these places are lovely!). This year we decided to search for a quality room at a fair price and that is just what... More

The room location is fantastic, and the view is breathtaking. However, the room itself is not good. The doors don't lock properly, well ours didn't as the door knob was broken in room 27. They made the bed, and maybe changed the towels, but didn't provide enough towels for three people. They didn't clean the room or restock the K-cups... More

We have looked at Yachtsman Lodge in the past -- it's dog-friendly and right on the river a short way from shopping and restaurants in Kennebunkport. Room was clean, comfortable and nicely appointed -- and the rate was very attractive. Only negative is no wi-if coverage in room. The view from the patio on a sunny fall morning with still... More

This property appears to have been a motor lodge on the bank of the Kennebunk River, great location every room overlooks the river and nicely updated rooms. It is an easy walk into town. Now operated by a hotel group so not much of a personal touch. Our coffee maker did not work, eventually got is replaced but that one... More

We travelled to Kennebunkport with our two Yorkies. We were drawn to this place because we needed a pet friendly hotel. We got a lot more than we expected. The room was immaculate and beautifully appointed. The walls well insulated so that any barking noises were well muted. The view from all rooms was wonderful. The staff was courteous. There... More

Lovely clean room, wonderful outlook onto the river. Very good breakfast with wide selection, though small breakfast room. We only had 2 nights but wish we could have stayed longer. Wifi only in breakfast area.

Was recommended to us by another couple who stayed there. Nice clean rooms, view of the Kennebunk River, as well as continental breakfast (in a common breakfast area), tea time (which we missed), and port wine, brandy, cheese & crackers served between 5 and 7 pm. Nothing fancy but a nice touch. We aren't really fans of port or brandy,... More

We drove up and it the hotel looked like a motel, long and single story. We walked into our room and on the backside was a fantastic view of a quaint little harbor and ducks walking on the grass. It was adorable! The room was clean and neat and we just walked to the "downtown" area and restaurants. Quite a... More

When we walked into our room we were stunned by the view. Every room faces the Kennebunkport River. Our room was beautiful and spotless. There was a continental breakfast which had the best selection of any breakfast we have ever seen. Tea and cookies were available from 3PM to 5PM, brandy and port from 5 to 6. There is a... More
