Stayed on night mid September. The warm welcome at Reception was matched by a beautiful setting, spacious room and THE most comfy bed. Each chalet comes with a verandah overlooking a tranquil marina. Afternoon teas, evening port, cheese and biscuits and plentiful breakfasts so you'll never go hungry. 200 metre walk to Kennebunkport centre. Would definitely stay here again. Great... More

We were so lucky that we chanced on and selected this hotel. The roadside view does not do it credit. Once in the very large and clean room you have the most wonderful views of the water. The picture windows open to your own patio with chairs where you can just sit and absorb your surroundings. The hotel manager was... More

Stayed for one night this past week and wished I could have stayed for more! I agree with the most recent reviews. A very nice motor inn, situated on the river and a short walk to town. Rooms are spacious, exceptionally clean and provide plenty of amenities. Appears to be a very well run operation. Would not hesitate to stay... More

We stayed here after a few nights in Boston at the start of our New England holiday, and loved it. The location is absolutely stunning, so close to the water, with comfy chairs on your own little patio. The rooms were very nicely furnished, and the extra little touches like cake in the afternoon, followed by cheese and biscuits +... More

Stayed here for 2 nights on a 2 week new england tour in which we'd pre-booked all accomodation but one night- we liked it here so much that we came back for that one night! unassuming, under-promising property that over-delivers- nothing is a problem, everything is sorted, even when there is a (small) problem. location is just magnificent, ducks, yachts,... We reluctantly left the Yachtsman yesterday after 6 days. I can't say enough about it. We arrived with our 2 Yorkies last Friday-dog bed, treats and toys in the room! Staff - fabulous- especially Andy and Kathy. Close to town. Afternoon tea, brandy, port and cheese. We can't wait to return.

This was a lovely stopover. You would think that a coverted motel that had been updated would not be a great choice-wrong-it was wonderful. The beds and pillows are so comfortable, the room is so comfortable and surprise although everyone has a patio and chairs to look out on the water its very private. They had brandy and cheese and... The motel offers a great location and is much nicer than first appearances may indicate. We had bikes and appreciated having our car right outside the room. Walking distance to town, but quiet. Hotel offers free bikes and canoes. Your room has a small frig, coffee maker, robes etc. each room has a patio! When you enter your room you... More

We stayed at the Yachtsman over Labor Day weekend and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The room as clean with a nice decor and it felt very spacious. The outside while simple, was clean and nicely landscaped. Some of the hotel highlights were the free bicycles (which we took out on a ride along the coast), the nightly... More

We have stayed here before and find the location perfect for our needs. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated, have a desk, flat screen TV and are bright, airy and large. The beds are comfy and lots of fluffy pillows. They have patio doors facing a small patio with chairs and a table for sitting out and enjoying the view.... More
