I loved the view and location of their restaurant - Stripers and wanted to hold my wedding there. The Wedding Coordinator said she would send me a proposal and after leaving 2 messages and a follow up email, I didn't receive anything. Not even a response from my phone calls or email. I contacted the Restaurant Manager who said she... More

We booked it on a whim as we were traveling to Bar Harbor from Boston. Location was beautiful, the staff was more than friendly and knowledgeable. They have complimentary bike rental we took up the point and into town. Short beautiful ride both ways. Rooms are large and very spa like was great views as well.

We recently spent one night at the Inn and had a wonderful mini-getaway. We walked into town and did a little window shopping. We stopped at Tia's for happy hour and one dollar oysters! Walked back and enjoyed a glass of wine in the adirondack chairs watching the sun set. Spent time in our lovely blue and white room with... More

We went for a long weekend getaway. From check-in to check-out everyone was very helpful. Our room had a great view of the Ocean and River, Every morning the manager made homemade waffles for breakfast and a great assortment of breakfast foods. This was more that what they advertised. The have loaner bike at no charge so we could ride... More

We stayed here for 3 nights to attend a wedding. Our room was at the "inn" property on the third floor. Spacious room, nice view out the window to the river and ocean. Comfy bed. Bathroom was a bit small but updated. We enjoyed sitting in the chairs watching the water and the boats go by. Very convenient location to... More

This is our 3 rd stay at this property and all have been in the spa building, which is more contemporary than the inn. I might add that there was no recognition given to the fact that we we were repeat customers Previously, we stayed in water view king rooms, which were spacious and had a sofa and chairs for... More

My husband and I were celebrating our 35th anniversary for a 3 night stay in Maine. After reading a lot of the favorable reviews we booked at the Breakwater. Our room was a perfect size for us, clean and decorated beautifully to fit a waterside inn. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but not overbearing. We were served drinks... More

Enjoyed a 2 day stay in a King water view room in the original building.Upscale however the bathrooms need to be renovated. Great location on Ocean Drive in a quiet and peaceful area. Walk to beach and watch boat traffic in and out of marina. The inclusive continental breakfast is bountiful and nicely presented. I would definitely return

To begin, there are 2 buildings on the property which is located on the harbor. We stood in the northern building and it seemed old and not up-to-date. The other building seemed newer and maybe more recently updated. The complementary breakfast was wonderful and the staff was working hard to make us happy especially Bethany. The room was small so... My husband, daughter and I decided to take a nice relaxing family trip to Kennebunkport. From the amazing pictures on their website we decided to stay at the Breakwater Inn and Spa and splurge for the insanely expensive "waterside cottage" .. for "privacy & luxury" as stated on the site. Well, what a joke! First of all, you are literally... More
