My husband and I had decided to randomly take a jaunt up the Maine coastline, and I found this on a last minute hotel booking site. It had an immensely bed and breakfast feel. Our room was gorgeously decorated, and incredibly small. The windows let in the smell of ocean air, though we didn't have an ocean view. The small... More

No elevator's here, but a great view of the Breakwater, and Lobster Boats, coming and going delivering their catch. You can be pampered at the spa, or just relax. They have a continental breakfast available with make your own waffles, in the Bar, Restaurant area. There are shops in the spa building and Mabel's restaurant across the street. The staff... More

We stayed at the Breakwater for 2 nights in early May on a driving tour of New England. We loved the hotel! It's actually 2 buildings. We were staying in the Spa building because it had an elevator and one of our group needed the accessibility. The room we had was a King bed and pull out twin bed. The... More

We spent a February weekend here and found it to be most relaxing! The room itself, except for the bathroom, is tired and in need of some updating. The carpets need to be replaced, the occasional stain on the chairs, the lampshades are chipped, the bed a bit soft, you would expect more for the price paid and location.......but, the... More

Spacious well kept rooms with comfy beds and furniture, but it is clearly intended that you not spend the day there as there are few additional amenities...like a desk. In walking weather you can reach nice parts of downtown with a short walk. Located very close to the water, it has good views nearby. As it is at the end... More

So I got a great rate on this hotel....yes it was January but I was very happy with this hotel. When we checked in the desk clerk took us up to our room. It was lovely! It had a great view! Since it was January there was very little open in the area for shopping and eating, but the Inn... More

My husband and I visited Kennebunkport for Martin Luther King long weekend. The hotel was perfect. The room was very comfortable, bottle of water were provided. Breakfast was complimentary and there was a large variety of options from breads and bagels with preserves, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and muffins and a waffle station. Tea and coffee are avaliable all day... More

Stayed for one night and the entire experience was wonderful. Room was spacious and had a great view, front desk agent have a great recommendation for a restaurant in town. We were able to walk to downtown from the hotel no problem. Definitely recommend!

We were touring the New England states to see the foliage in October and stopped overnight at Kennebunkport. We booked the Breakwater Inn & Spa online not knowing what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was warm and friendly and were very knowledgeable about the touristy things to do in the area. The room was very spacious... More

We had a room on the first floor (one above ground floor), with a deck, which provided us with wonderful views in three directions. Even though the inn covers four floors, there are no lifts! And the staircases are narrow. It appears that the whole hotel caters to couples, as no rooms with two beds ever seem to be available.... More
