The Colony is a beautiful, old fashioned resort style hotel. The highlight of the property is the wraparound porch where you can spend time enjoying the stunning view while reading, having a drink, or people watching. You are within walking distance of more views of the water and a few restaurants. The lobby and the hotel restaurant were also worth... More

I stayed with my pooch for the last weekend of the season which turned out to be 'Dog Lovers Weekend'. The hotel staff could not have been more friendly, generously accommodating 2 legged and 4 legged guests alike. A schedule of fun packed events provided for a fun weekend, so much so that I booked again for next year. My... More

My husband and I stayed here about 2 weeks ago with a tour group. It is very charming & pretty well kept. Our room was a nice size with a large closet you could walk in to. The bathroom wasn't very big but clean. The bed & pillows were awesome!! Plus we had a window that looked right out onto... More

We had a most enjoyable overnight stay at the Colony en route from New York to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. This is a fine old hotel that reminds one of bygone days. It is now slightly past its prime and the room that we enjoyed did not have A/C, a television, a fridge or tea/coffee-making facilities, but hey, what... More

Our tour group had dinner here and it was unforgettable. We had lemon crusted haddock with seasoned rice and shaved vegetable medley. Ask to meet the new assistant pastry chef; she is an utter delight. We were served pie made from low-bush, wild Maine blueberries. Scrumptious! The servers are extremely attentive. The historical setting is engaging.

We stayed here for three nights, and I really wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is beautiful, a grand old building overlooking the ocean, with a flower-filled courtyard descending to the beach. Each night, at dusk, they released beautiful glowing lanterns. The people were top-notch, from the desk staff to the gift shop to the housekeeping personnel. Our... More

A gem that really is well maintained with real old world charm. How many hotels still have real keys? Our room overlooked the pool area and the open ocean. It was exceptionally clean and the bed was "so very comfortable". Wallpaper was of vintage design and a full bath. No TV in the room but not necessary for our needs.... More

The Colony is a beautiful hotel, there's no doubt about it. I've stayed there years ago and my husband and I returned this month to find that they are celebrating their 100 year anniversary. The hotel has beautiful views of the ocean and the grounds of the hotel are lovely. There is a little mini golf course, a large porch... More

I returned here after two years. Stayed in the east house which has tv and a/c. The room is large and comfortable with two queen beds, a table with two arm chairs and two other chairs available. The bathroom is dated but very user friendly for two women. The retsaurant is good and the view is priceless. I personally found... More
