We happened to win a week at the Red Apple... We had the Connecticut cabin for 7 days. Two adults and a two year old was a tight squeeze. Our daughter was scared to sleep in the tiny second bedroom, and we had to shuffle to get around the "queen" sized bed (really a full, not queen). The owners (?)... More

This is a too notch place hands down ! The owners are more than generous and go out of their way to accommodate anyone's needs! Very dear people. Grounds are immaculate, showers and bathrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen! Just so worth the reasonable price! I live them!

We were driving a 38' motor home and towing. Campsite was level and pull thru. The owners were very helpful and even provided a longer sewer hose for us when ours would not reach. Very nice and clean facilities not to mention their cute shop/camp store. The location just a few miles from the unique shops, eats and galleries of... More

Our family is more inclined to camp at state owned campgrounds as they are usually more wooded and more of an outdoors type of experience. We have found that commercial campgrounds have a tenancy to have smaller sites, closer together and not very much an "in the woods" type of environment. The Red Apple is not an "in the woods... More

Campground with mainly large motorhomes, such as A-type buses and fifth wheels. Mainly elderly people, so a bit boring for families. Facilities: good showers and good laundry. Shop is limited. Good location for visiting the nice village Kennebunkport (however, not on walking distance).

This is a great place to stay and is close to Kennebunkport and all of its great shopping, reastaurants and the beach. The campground is remarkably clean and well kept. You will sleep well because it is very quiet at night. This is a place to come back to!

We found Red Apple Campground to be the perfect setting for a lovely week in Kennebunkport. While we were on the go most of the time, we found it very enjoyable to come back to our travel trailer and relax in peaceful surroundings. Be sure to ask about the delicious lobsters delivered to your doorstep! Tasty and quite reasonably priced!... More
