This was an amazing place to stay! Well worth the extra money, compared to other inns and hotels here. Breakfast brought every morning to your door. Outside and inside showers (my husband loved this). Pictures on website do not do the resort justice. You can walk to the beach or ride the bicycles they have for guests - very close.... More

We just returned from our trip to Hidden Pond - though my husband and I have been to Maine several times and consider it one of our most favorite places on the planet, this was our first trip taking the kids and our first trip to Hidden Pond. We wanted a relaxed, beautiful place that was comfortable for our family... More

I would have given this property a five-star rating, because of the amazing setting and beautifully appointed property. But I do have some issues with the service - particularly the room service. We would definitely stay here again as the bungalows, pool areas, lodge and restaurant were all top notch. Such beautiful, understated elegance. We absolutely loved the size of... More

This was our annual June trip to Hidden Pond. We had a marvelous time last year and decided to make it a tradition to celebrate my friend's birthday at Hidden Pond. The service is like no other. The staff is extremely accomodating and friendly. They want to make your stay perfect and they are willing to go out of their... More

My wife and I initially discovered Hidden Pond last summer during a four night stay with our three young kids. We stayed in a two-bedroom cottage (Sweet Fern) that had a full kitchen and 3 full bathrooms (outdoor shower included). It was more than enough space to spread out and relax. We'd never been to Maine before and we fell... More

Loved our 3 night stay at hidden pond. Our cottage ( #6) was very comfortable and quaint. Sitting in the front porch with wind blowing and leaves fluttering was so relaxing. S'mores by the bonfire, dinner at Earth, and great service made this a memorable stay.

In my job as meeting site selection specialist, I'm used to visiting fabulous hotels worldwide, but my stay at Hidden Pond was unique. It felt like I was coming home (to a much better decorated and equipped home). the bungalows and cottages are outfitted with top of the line amenities and down to 'earth' materials culled from the woods of... Dear Mary M: What a title -- I can only some of the amazing sites you've seen and hotels you've visited, and it is a proud moment to know that Hidden Pond was a unique highlight. We hear a lot that Hidden Pond has a familiar feeling -- whether it be from childhood or a past trip -- it's a... More

My husband and I visited Hidden Pond in the fall of 2013. (not sure why it's taken me so long to write the review - other than I wish I was going now?) What a beautiful property. Tucked away in the woods, this gem of a property is a MUST if you are looking for a romantic getaway or just... More

My husband and I recently returned from a stay at the Tides Beach Club, which is a sister property of Hidden Pond. Guests of TBC are able to use the amenities at Hidden Pond, including restaurant, pools, spa, etc. We had the pleasure of using the spa during our stay. First of all, the location is very nice but hard... More

My husband and I just returned from a 3 day stay to celebrate our anniversary. We got a great deal because we visited before the busy season and during mid-week. We have so many wonderful things to say about Hidden Pond! Our bungalow was incredible--very comfortable and very romantic with a fireplace, nice amenities, and screen porch. The service was... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hidden Pond is a private retreat for those seeking high-end accommodations and personalized services in a relaxed and natural setting. The one and two-bedroom cottages, and new one bedroom bungalows, feature Frette linens, fireplaces, flat screen TVs and Bose sound systems with iPod docks, state-of-the-art kitchens, landscaped outdoor showers and decadent screened porches allowing inside living to virtually extend out amongst the forest. There have been two fantastic additions to the property in 2011. Earth, a collaboration with James Beard Award Winning Chef and Restauranteur, Ken Oringer, is an al fresco restaurant focusing on farm to fork freshness. Heirloom vegetables and herbs are picked daily from the surrounding gardens, and thoughtfully incorporated into both food and beverage menu offerings. Another added amenity is the new Tree Spa, featuring three spa treatment rooms nestled in the trees. The Tree Spa is available to guests only and their services will further ensure your visit is nothing but blissful. ... more   less
