Oh how glorious it was to return to Hidden Pond Maine and this time on my birthday! This trip a stay at one of the two bedroom cottages was in order and how exciting it was to stay in the peaceful and zen like "Lazy Days"!!! As always the staff greats every guest like family and return guests like family... More

We just returned from our third year in a row at Hidden Pond and because the last two times were so awesome, our expectations were very high and Hidden Pond managed to exceed our expectations once again. Everything about this place is absolutely perfect. It really is pure relaxation--one of the rare places where both the adults and kids love... More

Hidden Pond was the perfect spot to unwind and relax with my 27 year old daughter while being spoiled and eat fabulous food. I loved that they have an area where the cabins are for families with children and a separate location that is for adults only. The adult cabin area has a serenity pool (no kids) and a bar... More

I've stayed here several times over the last three years. So, it may seem strange that I don't recommend it. The confusion comes from the fact that I love the grounds - the physical aspect of the resort is great. I've stayed in the homes and a cottage - both are nice. Simple, but nice. The setting - evocative of... More

Hidden Pond exceeded my high expectations! The bungalow was beautiful, quiet, restful, just outstanding - I thought about overstaying my time and forcing them to evict me. I have stayed at quiet a few nice places - one in particular in Sonoma, CA - and while they both were great - this place beat it. Looking at the website I... More

I would call staying at Hidden Pond a step up from "Glamping". The individual cabins have 18 foot ceilings, fire place, a full wet bar with mini fridge and sink, a totally separate screened in porch, and an incredibly comfortable bed. For those who care they also have Wi-Fi, flat screen TV with DVD players and of course Scrabble. Oh,... More

Spacious, comfortable cabins tucked away in a forest. Very friendly staff. But given its price point, I think they can jazz up a few details. The Place: Set over several acres, each room is a cabin with its own screened in porch, plenty of space and views to the forest. Bed was super comfy, the layout of the room flowed,... More

Woodsy cottages with creeky doors and screened in porches - but - with Wi-Fi, luxurious bathrooms and fantastic food/wine list!!! Hidden Pond is literally the best of both worlds! We thoroughly enjoyed riding the bikes down to Goose Rocks Beach (where the sister hotel Tides Beach Club set us up with loungers, umbrella and towels) and we equally enjoyed spending... More

Dear KV: Rustic chic is what we go for here at Hidden Pond -- I'll glad that this shined through to you. It's a delicate balance, but we work hard to achieve it. We feel that this best matches the natural environment of Maine along with the sophisticated atmosphere of Kennebunkport. We look forward to welcoming you back to Hidden... More

Our family of 5 absolutely loved our 2 night stay at Hidden Pond. Our cottage (Periwinkle #19) was one of the most charming lodging options we have ever experienced. The cottage was spacious with a large kitchen / dining area / sitting area, with a wonderful enclosed porch. The two bedrooms each had a bathroom, with the master bedroom having... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hidden Pond is a private retreat for those seeking high-end accommodations and personalized services in a relaxed and natural setting. The one and two-bedroom cottages, and new one bedroom bungalows, feature Frette linens, fireplaces, flat screen TVs and Bose sound systems with iPod docks, state-of-the-art kitchens, landscaped outdoor showers and decadent screened porches allowing inside living to virtually extend out amongst the forest. There have been two fantastic additions to the property in 2011. Earth, a collaboration with James Beard Award Winning Chef and Restauranteur, Ken Oringer, is an al fresco restaurant focusing on farm to fork freshness. Heirloom vegetables and herbs are picked daily from the surrounding gardens, and thoughtfully incorporated into both food and beverage menu offerings. Another added amenity is the new Tree Spa, featuring three spa treatment rooms nestled in the trees. The Tree Spa is available to guests only and their services will further ensure your visit is nothing but blissful. ... more   less
