After the Waldo Emerson Inn double booked us, they found us a room at the Fontenay. We were greeted very warmly and shown to a room that was large and comfortable. I love the Fontenay. It is in a great location and very clean. It is a basic hotel room but on the large size. When we stayed we had a good size room with 2 double beds and a sitting area. The best part of all is the price...very reasonable. And like another reviewer said it is pretty quiet. It... more

The Fontenay is a great place to stay, especially when you're on a budget. The hotel owners, David and Paula are great people and can answer any questions you may have about the area. We stayed in room # 8, which overlooks the tidal inlet. It's great to wake up and see the water from your bed. The hotel also... more
