Driving by the Port Inn you see a basic motel set up. Expectations set - ok, motel, it's going to be fine, we are just there to sleep. Much to our surprise we found the rooms to be 4 star hotel quality. First, the rooms are fresh - nice bed coverings with pretty materials on soft throw pillows. Perfectly clean... More

Stayed for two nights. Rooms were large and comfortable. Equipped with everything you would expect to see at Hilton or Marriott plus a microwave. The grounds were well kept very nicely. The swimming pools is warm for Maine. Hotel is on a well traveled road leading to Kennebunk, but still mostly quiet and peaceful. Only reason not rated a 5... More

We recently reserved a number of the rooms at the Port Inn for our wedding weekend and it was wonderful! The staff was welcoming and friendly to all our guests, and really went above and beyond to help my husband and I prepare for our big day! Between personally distributing our hotel gift bags, to managing the list of our... More

We really enjoyed our four night stay at the Port Inn. The room was recently redecorated with a luxury feel. They took standard sized hotel rooms and decked them out so they are a little classier than you might expect at a Route 1 motel in Maine. Despite complaints,on this site about the crowded breakfast area, we found that the... More

I was meeting friends in Kennebunk and needed an affordable yet comfortable place to stay. The Port Inn served well. I had a comfortable room and I'm really glad I did not have a lot of luggage as there's no elevator. The Inn was very full. Especially with families utilizing the pool so it got a little noisy at times.... More

After staying at the Port Inn, I am at a loss to understand their 2-1/2 star rating! The property is immaculate! Rooms are well-decorated, clean and extremely comfortable; nicer than many 4-star properties I have stayed in. However, breakfast was probably the highlight of our stay. While billed as a 'continental breakfast,' the available selections went far beyond the typical... More

Just spent a night and will definitely be back. Staff is so nice, rooms are clean and modern, the heated pool is heaven! Literally less than 10 minutes to the all the shops and galleries. Thank you for a great vacation

This property is a near luxury hotel at a moderate price. The renovated rooms are well designed, comfortable and very clean. Although it is on Route 1 rooms at the back are very quiet. The pool is very clean. I would give this hotel 5 stars except for the following: - Some of the staff have a very poor personal... More

My family of 5 recently stayed in two rooms on the first floor next to each other. One had a king bed and kitchenette, the other had 2 queen beds and no kitchen. Upon arrival, the room with 2 queen beds had a nice air mattress/cot placed inside so my 3 boys didn't have to sleep together, which we really... More

The Port Inn receives 4 stars based on appearance, comfort, breakfast choices and staff. The inn was lacking in insulation and floors/walls are very thin allowing our second floor stay to disrupt the guests on the first floor. We received two calls from the front desk for average traffic in our room and moving luggage that we were disturbing the... More
