Stumbled on the Inn by accident in 2007....Can't even tell you how many times I've stayed there...In fact at Christmas time we have a family reunion there !! We have come to know the people who work there and absolutely adore them . Diane who runs the show is an absolute Angel !!! If your looking for all the charm... More

We were into this for the history. The building was built in 1799 and was a doctor's home and office, then. Because of this, there are no elevators. The wooden floors creak and it is a little noisy. We chose to stay in the Jefferson Room and it was small and made smaller by the fact that a bath was... More

we love old houses, and the Inn definitely fits into this genre; the floors are uneven and there are nooks and crannies and plumbing, and if you aren't comfortable with that, choose a chain hotel/motel. We stayed at a quiet time of the year (April) and it felt very calm and tranquil; I can see it being noisy when the... More

My sister and her husband stayed here at the Inn and they were excited to try the "infamous" Lobster Pot Pie and the Reverse Root Beer Float! My husband and I joined them for dinner and I can't tell you how deeply disappointed we all were. The Lobster Pot Pie was "the worst thing we ever ate." The sauce had... More

First, I want to say that the place is clean and the staff is very friendly, but there are 2 big problems with this inn. #1: It is very noisy! Because this is an old house you can hear everybody talking and walking around both outside your room and in their room. The bar was located directly below us and... More

The room was relatively small with a king bed which took up a good portion of the floor space. It was mostly clean but not immaculate as would be expected in a property that's 200 years old and expect the property to reflect that age with uneven floors, old fixtures, retro plumbing and electricity. Steep stairs to the upper floors... More

We arrived to have the restaurant hostess greet us in an unfriendly manner and take us to our room. I can't recall the room number, but avoid the room on the right in the alcove at the top of the front stairs. The room is tiny. No closet or luggage rack provided. A hideous drapery hangs on the wall behind... More

The Kennebunk Inn is located just over four miles from Kennebunkport. It is quaint, the lobby and restaurant are idyllic but the top floor rooms are tiny. The room we stayed in was clean and the bed was comfortable but the bathroom was so small it made me feel like a giant in Smallsville! My recommendation would be to pay... More

I would have given this hotel three stars (or "average" rating) except that given what it cost compared to what it was, I had to drop it to two. First, I booked this hotel and a certain room back in March, nearly six months in advance. I called the day before to make sure everything was set, and also to... More
