We decided to combine a Maine wedding with a short vacation. Knowing we were bringing my boyfriend’s dog made it challenging to find lodging in the Kennebunk area – so imagine my excitement when I found this “cute” inn on line. And, they had a dog friendly room that my boyfriend was able to book for our date. What a... More

Extremely cramped accommodation in an in that still operates in a very basic manner. We were expecting a lot more and definitely a much better bathroom. The shower stall had low pressure and was so small I felt like I was in training to bathe in a submarine ! Sheets were clean, however not much else to write about .... More

We booked this hotel online the day before, based on reviews and pictures. Whilst the facade of this place looks nice, once inside, watch out. I felt the place was run down, the kitchen was closed??? Nothing was as advertised. We were charged a high rate for an extremely basic room, nothing like the pictures. We did not stay, and... More

I took my Mom, my Aunt, and my Sister. Two of my party required handicapped accessibility, and the Kennebunk Inn was so gracious and kind to meet all their needs! Everyone we met at the front desk was so wonderful, filling us in on the History of Kennebunk, and of the Historical Kennebunk Inn. Dear Meg, Diane, and Charlie we... More

We have come to know the people who work there and absolutely adore them . Diane who runs the show is an absolute Angel !!! If your looking for all the charm... More

We were into this for the history. The building was built in 1799 and was a doctor's home and office, then. Because of this, there are no elevators. The wooden floors creak and it is a little noisy. We chose to stay in the Jefferson Room and it was small and made smaller by the fact that a bath was... More

we love old houses, and the Inn definitely fits into this genre; the floors are uneven and there are nooks and crannies and plumbing, and if you aren't comfortable with that, choose a chain hotel/motel. We stayed at a quiet time of the year (April) and it felt very calm and tranquil; I can see it being noisy when the... More

My sister and her husband stayed here at the Inn and they were excited to try the "infamous" Lobster Pot Pie and the Reverse Root Beer Float! My husband and I joined them for dinner and I can't tell you how deeply disappointed we all were. The Lobster Pot Pie was "the worst thing we ever ate." The sauce had... More

First, I want to say that the place is clean and the staff is very friendly, but there are 2 big problems with this inn. #1: It is very noisy! Because this is an old house you can hear everybody talking and walking around both outside your room and in their room. The bar was located directly below us and... More
