I have stayed here twice. Its a couples getaway inn. It has a little pool to relax by or in. I like the use of their bikes for town and beach. Little pricey for no water views, but its a very nice place to stay. The restaurant is President George Bush's favorite place or so I'm told. This place is... More

Wonderful welcome, fabulous food and good service. We stayed in one of the arts and crafts style cottages just away from the main site - on the edge of the dock overlooking the water. Lovely room with plenty of American oak, open fire. The bathroom was in the classic older American style - with shower over shallow low sided tub.... More

We've read about the white barn inn in various travel magazines, so when we moved to Maine, we resolved to stay there. The opportunity came this winter when we had family visiting. We had two junior suites, one with modern decor, the other, traditional. Large rooms yet cozy. Our room had a wood fireplace which we lit just before going... More

My wife and I stayed in late February, in Garden Room 1 which is in a separate annex across from the main building. The room is quite spacious and has a gas fireplace, separate bathroom with walk-in rain shower (which I wanted to take home) and a large picture window looking out at woods. We were delighted to see our... More

Winter in Kennebunkport is lovely and we were looking forward to a great weekend in Maine and the famous White Barn. Expecting a world-class experience given its posh Relais & Chateaux status and sterling reputation, we left feeling, well...just okay. The location is perfect and the decor in the public spaces was beautiful if a bit dated but the balance... More

Call us crazy storm chasers. I wanted to see a major snowstorm, so we came up at the last minute for the blizzard. We stayed at the White Barn 8 years ago and had good memories, so we wanted to come back. Booked the Friendship Cottage down on the wharf, utterly charming and fantastic views of the river and marina... More

My husband and I had wanted to stay here for a while but couldn't stomach the high season price tag. We booked for a weekend after New Years when the prices were significantly cheaper. We were not disappointed. The amenities (including the coffee/tea time & breakfast in the morning) were delightful. We dined in the restaurant for dinner which was... More

At first look I wanted to give the white barn an incredible review. The grounds are beautifully kept even after summer is over. We decided October would be a great month to come and visit Maine (it is!) but you don't want to stay here. My husband and I have stayed at one other relais and chateaux and we expected... More

Dear Cwent, Let me first say that I have taken your critique and comments extremely seriously and have discussed your review in great detail with my management team and service staff. We are startled and concerned by the experience you had at The White Barn Inn, and we are continuing to investigate thoroughly. It should go without saying that we... More

This is our third time staying at the WBI. We had a queen room on the second floor of the main house. Everything was terrific from the time we checked in until we had to leave. The staff is more than accommodating. When I returned from a run they not only had my room key for me, but a bottle... More
