This was our 1st night stay in our 8 night tour of Maine. We loved the old home. It was special to me since I love Emerson's writing (particularly "On Nature"), Don't expect fancy - this is a historic old home. The breakfast was very good. Sarah was a delight as she helped John serve breakfast.

We were guests for 2 nights. Our hosts, Kathy and John made us feel like family. The breakfasts are wonderful- the rooms most comfortable and immaculate. Waldo, the official mascot of the Inn, welcomed us on our arrival. There is a great deal of history in this wonderfully maintained Inn. Kudos to Kathy and John for a great visit!

Even better than my husband and I had hoped for! It is extremely close, of course, to Kennebunkport. John and Kathy are delightful... willing to give you very helpful advice but not intrusive with your stay. Their breakfasts were amazing! Our two breakfasts were entirely different. We understand that if you stay for a whole week... each of those breakfasts... More

Inn keepers John and Kathy are very lovely people. They were warm and welcoming as well as Waldo their puppy dog. The house and room was warm, cozy and loaded with history. Kathy gave us the historical tour which we found extremely fascinating and we enjoyed the period correct furnishings along with original flooring, windows and hardware. We enjoyed a... More

My husband and I did a weekend getaway for our anniversary/Christmas gift to ourselves. We enjoyed the weekend of Christmas Prelude festivities. John and Kathy were warm and welcoming. The tour of the house and the history of it was a great addition to our stay. The house is cozy and comfortable. With working fireplaces and decorated beautifully for the... More

The Inn is a lovely historic house, with nice grounds and a gift shop. It is conveniently located between Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. Both towns are just a couple of miles away and are interesting to browse around, with unique shops and excellent restaurants. The beds are comfy and each has a beautiful handmade quilt. The owners are friendly and prepare... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waldo Emerson Inn. Host and hostess, John and Kathy, were very friendly and inviting. John provided us with a very informative and interesting tour of the historic home, in addition to answering questions and providing guidance in directing us to nearby restaurants and other attractions. Waldo, the four-legged ring leader,... More

My husband I just got back from a really nice anniversary weekend in Kennebunkport! We really enjoyed our stay at the Waldo Emerson Inn. This historic house is beautiful, and the rooms are very clean and cozy. We stayed upstairs in the Captains Quarters room… It's on the 3rd floor and you share a bathroom with the owners, but it...
