We reserved via phone because we wanted to be sure we would be staying in the room we picked, and we could pay the room with bedandbreakfast.com gift cards (the B&B is listed on their website as accepting those cards, we just wanted to make sure). After spending the first night at the B&B we discovered during breakfast the innkeepers... More

The Waldo Emerson Inn is situated half way between Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, so extremely convenient to both. Rooms are small but impeccably clean and the hosts are friendly and charming. The also bend over backwards to be helpful, make reservations, recommendations, etc. Breakfast is the best and most creative I've ever had in a B&B and I've stayed in many... More

We wish we could have stayed longer! John and Cathy were great hosts. They reviewed the local map and made some excellent suggestions about what to do in the area. Every suggestion was spot on including restaurant choices. The inn itself was exactly what we wanted...cozy, historic and conveniently located( were in town for a wedding). The breakfasts were outstanding... More

I stayed here with my partner for three nights. I have never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and this was a lovely experience. Our room was very clean but also very homey and comfortable. There was air conditioning which worked well but the room was also generally cool because the temperature drops. The inn felt very authentic to... More

The historic Inn is like staying at a relatives house. The owners are very nice and accomodating. Like any historical location, the rooms are overwhelmingly outdated - but in a good way. A nice breakfast experience with all the guest sitting together at one table. The inn included addition perks such as beach pass, beach chairs, bikes, etc.

My girlfriend and I spent two days here and were really happy we did. Not a single thing to do differently. Immaculate grounds, beautiful old house, spacious room well appointed, LOVELY owners, helpful advice on ways to enjoy the area (including some "local" tips), proximity to everything, WONDERFUL dog, comfortable bed, etc., etc., etc.,. This place was great. We will... More

The inn is nice. Owners are really nice people and try to make it an experience. The place has rich history and it shows on every wall. It is not run down but I guess squeaky uneven floors and abundance of flowery decor is part of the attraction. Breakfast was good and served with care. It seems to be customary... More

The inn is nice and the staff are very kind. The distance from town makes everything a bicycle or car ride away and there is much more to see in Kennebunk or Portland than on the road close to the house. Overall the home felt a little worn and not as clean as it maybe it once did. The food... More

My friend and I had a lovely, restful stay an the B&B. The Inn is historic, immaculately clean and in a beautiful setting. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The Innkeeper, the help and Waldo the dog, each contributed to our happy, restful time.

The inn was very nice, breakfast was real good. Loved Waldo the dog. Everything was clean, neat. Wish we had more time for the visit. We were there the 1st week of June and was afraid it would be wall to wall people. In talking to area merchants the busy season is July 4th thru end of Oct. They said... More
