If you are looking for a very historic B&B, this is the place to go. The inn is well kept and the innkeepers are very freindly and helpful. The 3 course breakfast was also excellent. Will we go back? Yes, ABSOLUTELY. Tom and LuAnn

My husband and I went away for a New Year's Eve weekend. My sister-in-law had given us a gift card that we wanted to use towards our stay. The innkeepers were friendly enough but definitely overbearing, as another review noted in their line of questioning. We actively tried to avoid them after the first day, although not easy when we... I called on the phone and got a reservation for 12/14/13, booking a specific room for a certain price. I later learned that the price was well above both rack rates and rates on their own website. I stuck to it having been led to believe the town was sold out (it wasn't, my mistake) We arrived and were escorted... More

John and Kathy were lovely hosts and have an extensive knowledge about the area. They were able to offer many suggestions for our stay. Wonderful home cooked breakfasts every morning and a lovely old home. Would highly recommend staying here.

I enjoy staying in historical homes, and this one didn't disappoint. Kathy has a lot of wonderful information and shed light on the home's rich history and character. The rooms are a great size and we enjoyed being able to have a fire in the room, as it really made for an enjoyable and relaxing evening. The breakfast was outstanding... More

The Waldo Emerson Inn has excellent accommodations. The owner, John, was extremely knowledgeable and interesting with a great sense of humor. John was very hospitable and the Inn provided you with all the comforts of home. The food was phenomenal. Breakfast included three courses which surpassed any gourmet meal I've been presented while fine dining! One of the best Bed... More

The personable owners, John and Kathy, made us feel at home in their inn. They provided a short tour and history of the home and property. (It is the oldest home in Kennebunk). All guests eat together at one table in the dining room. Because of this, we got to know everyone staying at the inn while we were there.... More

We found the Waldo Emerson Inn accidentally when we stopped next door to take a photo of the Wedding Cake house. Tired and ready to stop for the night, the inn had one room left. We were in Ralph's Library room, very comfortable with a large bed, fireplace and comfortable chairs. The bathroom was small, but clean and comfortable. The... More

Our recent visit at Waldo Emerson B&B had some positives and not so positives. It's located in Kennebunk - close to Kennebunkport and Kennebunk Beach which makes it quite easy access to where the action is. The house has a history worth exploring - and your host, John, is very knowledgable as to its history. The other half, Kathy, is... More

The Waldo Emerson Inn is a beautifully maintained historical inn. We booked late and got the least desirable room which was actually quite fine and cosy, we had no complains. The Inn owners John and Kathy were helpful and discreet, we never had the impression that we were ignored us or that they were intruding either. Breakfast was delicious and... More
