My spouse enjoys walking on the beach about as much as anything, so when there's a special occasion, I try to find a new place on the water to surprise her with. The Beach House was a hit. The inn was relatively quiet on a Sunday evening, and the location just across the road from the sea wall and just... More

We stayed for a long weekend at this Inn and we really enjoyed our visit. The location of this property couldn't be better, it has a direct view of the ocean. Our room which was located on the top floor faced the ocean, and we would open the windows and soaked in the sounds and smells of the beach. The... More

This was our second fall time visit only this time we were part of a nor-easter visit! The weather was wet and windy yet we enjoyed every minute of our Beach House visit. The waves were 10 -12 feet high and coming over the break wall -- such fun to watch from the living room. Town was out early the... More

What a fabulous weekend we just had there! The atmosphere was low-key and just perfect to every detail of the decor, and the way the space was used. There is a fireplace inside with remarkably comfortable couches, and there are lots of chairs for reading, overlooking the ocean across the street. You can also sit outside by a fire, and... More

Perfect ocean view setting for this small, friendly traditional bed and breakfast hotel. Set opposite a beautiful beach this was ideal for an early morning walk before breakfast or sitting in the garden watching the waves in the afternoon with complimentary port and cheese. The log fire in the lounge created a cosy atmosphere with ever changing sea views. Our... More

The facilities were fine and the location was perfect, on the water and not far from the center. However, accidents happen and I burned my hand on very hot tea. It was quite painful and the only help I got from management were directions to the pharmacy. I had asked for something to ease the pain, such as aloe vera,... More

We had a wonderful stay at The Beach House for 2 nights with friends. We had the cottage which was perfect with wonderful views out to sea. It is expensive for an inn but everything in this area appears to be. There is complementary afternoon tea and cheese and wine every day but it isn't worth rushing back for.

We had one night at the beach house. We were in a ground floor room and did get noise from the room above, but this seems to be a feature of this type of property. The room was clean and an okay size, as we were only there for one night we did not really unpack. Breakfast was nice and... More

We came all the way from Texas to celebrate our First Wedding Anniversary. We stayed here all four nights and it was absolutely wonderful. The location is right between both beaches and such an easy easy walk away. The breakfast was wonderful. Some of the reviews below talk about the noise, but that what you get when you stay in... Its a very lovely location with amazing views of the Ocean, but not walking distance to restaurants. The service was OK - some very well meaning young folk but couldn't help out with dining options. The Inn really needs a strong personality to help the guests out and navigate their way if traveling from overseas/unfamiliar to the area. The breakfast... More
