Perfect ocean view setting for this small, friendly traditional bed and breakfast hotel. Set opposite a beautiful beach this was ideal for an early morning walk before breakfast or sitting in the garden watching the waves in the afternoon with complimentary port and cheese. The log fire in the lounge created a cosy atmosphere with ever changing sea views. Our... More

The facilities were fine and the location was perfect, on the water and not far from the center. However, accidents happen and I burned my hand on very hot tea. It was quite painful and the only help I got from management were directions to the pharmacy. I had asked for something to ease the pain, such as aloe vera,... More

We had a wonderful stay at The Beach House for 2 nights with friends. We had the cottage which was perfect with wonderful views out to sea. It is expensive for an inn but everything in this area appears to be. There is complementary afternoon tea and cheese and wine every day but it isn't worth rushing back for.

We had one night at the beach house. We were in a ground floor room and did get noise from the room above, but this seems to be a feature of this type of property. The room was clean and an okay size, as we were only there for one night we did not really unpack. Breakfast was nice and... More

We came all the way from Texas to celebrate our First Wedding Anniversary. We stayed here all four nights and it was absolutely wonderful. The location is right between both beaches and such an easy easy walk away. The breakfast was wonderful. Some of the reviews below talk about the noise, but that what you get when you stay in... Its a very lovely location with amazing views of the Ocean, but not walking distance to restaurants. The service was OK - some very well meaning young folk but couldn't help out with dining options. The Inn really needs a strong personality to help the guests out and navigate their way if traveling from overseas/unfamiliar to the area. The breakfast... More

From the lovely seafront location and cosy public areas it was such a relief to arrive at The Beach House Inn. Yes the room was small, but it was quiet and comfortable. We borrowed their bikes and explored the village and later drove over to the Port for dinner. We weren't there that long but we left totally refreshed after... More

The hotel is perfectly situated and worth a stay. The rooms are excellent and the staff wonderful. The ocean is right across the street with a terrific walking walking path. The only thing we would mention is the Stripers Restaurant is a sister property and not worth going to. The food was terrible and way over-priced. Otherwise a great stay!

Enjoyed staying by the sea. The Beach House is very scenic. The Inn is a old house, so don't expect the amenities of a chain. However, the breakfast included was very good for a hotel breakfast. There is a very relaxing living room area and a very attractive an comfortable side yard to relax in.

The Inn is a lovely old house, with an amazing view on the ocean, but it is in dire need of maintenance to get it up to the standard of the price charged. In our room: the bathrooms are small, that's manageable, but the shelves over the toilet are rickety and threaten to fall at any moment. No shower gel,... More
