Chalet Moosehead is located in a tranquil park-like setting on the banks of Moosehead Lake. Surrounded by towering trees clothed in gold, red, green, and white birchbark and reflected in the serene waters of the lake, the two-story motel units are clean but spare. The efficiency unit smelled musty; however, the 2nd story unit with a two-queen-bed room was fresh... More

We stayed in a balcony room right on the water. The room was spacious, bright, and clean. The location is close to town but not in town. They offer free canoe use which would be great in the summer. The view from the balcony was great, a float plane docked across the way and a clear view of the lake... More

We had a room with a private deck that overlooked the lake. Beautiful view and the room was very clean. The front desk was helpful and referred us to a good place to eat in town. The hotel is close to town and shopping also. The room price was reasonable. We enjoyed our stay and will stay here on our... More

Had a pet so probably didn't get the best room. It was dirty and old. Very nice view and free paddleboats. Owner/Manager was not at all friendly. Doesn't she read these reviews? It's an ok value. Could be better.

Took a trip to Moosehead Lake to check the area out. Found this motel to stay at rooms are a little dated but very clean and nice. View in the evening over the lake was priceless. The next morning there was a loon on the lake calling it doesnt get any better than that. Will stay there again

You can definitely find fancier, more spacious and luxurious lakefront accommodations, but be prepared to spend 3-4 times as much. This place has very lovely grounds. It is "motel style", but extremely clean, well maintained and all you need in a room. More than 2 people in a room may be alittle tight. We would return.

We stayed in room 27 which had a beautiful view of the lake. The room was simple, but very clean. The beds were comfortable. There is a table and two chairs tucked into the corner of the room near the sliding glass door which leads to the balcony with two more chairs and a small table. The room has a... More

We enjoyed relaxing with wine and cheese in the Adirondack chairs sprinkled throughout the grounds overlooking the big lake. Canoes are available to guests free of charge, but we did not try them. It is a long walk to town so we drove. I thought it was nice that the owner offered to let us see the rooms before we... More

Just left the Chalet this morning. My wife and I agreed that this was one of the most beautiful, quiet, relaxing times that we have ever enjoyed. The deluxe balcony room was well equipped, very clean, and the view of the lake from the balcony was extraordinary. The restaurants in Greenville leave a little to be desired, but the Chalet... We stayed three nights, midweek (had the building to ourselves) we stayed in room 30, on second floor with balcony overlooking the lake, double hot tub, coffee maker and fridge. Its a very clean, very nice motel. The grounds are immaculate. the folks who run the place are very nice. I trailer my BMW motorcycle, and they had a huge... More
