My sons have not seen their dad, grandparents, step sister or the rest of their family who live near & around this area on their dad's side in over 12 years because we moved far away. I chose this hotel because they had a nice big lawn that they boast about on their website. and i thought it would be a... More

Her room rate per night was $146.88 after taxes. The kids "fun" was using the bailing scoops for the paddleboats to toss water at each other and fill the paddleboats with water then leaving them full of water for the next guest. We emptied them out several times without saying a word to them. On the whole the kids were... More

I've visited this motel with my siblings, significant others, and our dogs... I was wary of the owner when I first reserved the rooms, but they were splendid when we arrived (didn't really see them much)... The rooms are perfect for a couple and a dog, it is right on Moosehead Lake, there are canoes available, and the area is... More

This was out third time staying at the Chalet and will return again. Our room had a balcony to sit on to watch the float planes take off, the boats leave dock and just soak up the amazing views of Moosehad Lake. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony at night to listen to the loons. So amazing. The owner was... More

Not sure I understand the negative reviews. Sitting on the balcony now overlooking a piece of Heaven. I wanted to be sure to include my excellent rating because I had seen some of the negatives. This is a very rural setting in a small town. If you want luxury, I'd suggest a 5 star in a city. Chalet Moosehead is... More

All the rooms face the lake! Adirondack chairs are close to the water to enjoy an afternoon breeze or watch the seaplanes land which is approx every 20 mins! There are canoes & paddle-boats to use at no extra fee, right in front of the hotel. The location is handy to downtown Greenville, where there is shopping, great restaurants &... More

Chalet Moosehead is a no-frills motel on the shores of Moosehead Lake. The rooms are very clean. Bring your own toiletries. The best thing about the Chalet is that every room has a lakefront view. They also have paddleboats and canoes for use by the guests. There are a bunch of mallards that hang out on the lawn of the... More

On the shore of the lake, canoe or paddle-boots available for hotel guests, life jackets are provided for. Rooms are clean, beds are good, fridge and coffee machine in the room, BBQ on the lawn. A short drive from the shops and restaurants. A good place to go.

Very pretty location. Right on the water, all rooms have water front. The grounds are very pretty, there's 2 gas grills for use as well as canoes and paddle boats. The rooms are small and our room could use a new bed. No breakfast, go to Auntie M's. Rooms are very basic, no coffee maker, coffee is available at the... More

A great place to spend the 4th. A quick trip to Greenville for the official fireworks and then lots of fireworks on the lake from our balcony at the Chalet. The best rooms are on the west side of the property. Clean, big whirlpool tubs and easy access to kayaks, paddle boats, etc. Another firepit or 2 would be great.... More
