We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Had to laugh over the boot tray in the room and lack of closet. It's an old-school motel, but you've got to love it. The room had a refrigerator. Had a beautiful view from our room of Moosehead Lake. The lawn has several spots to sit by the lake. I would... More

We stayed one night in a second floor room in the older building. The room was clean, but desperately needed updating. The view was great, overlooking the lake. The waterfront was very good. We went out in one of the canoes. Paddleboats were also available. But for the money we paid, I would have expected more. When we checked in... More

Visited here this weekend with my family. We had two rooms on the bottom floor. Both rooms had a big window with a fantastic view. The coffee was awesome in the morning and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The picnic area is great with tables and grills to use and canoes as well. Will definitely... My husband and I spent 5 terrific days here at the end of June. We had a 2nd floor balcony room, absolutely beautiful view out over the lake. Room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Loved watching the float planes coming and going, finally decided we had to try it ourselves, what a great experience that was.... More

We had a second floor room, which was clean and comfortable. It had a picture window with a table and chairs in front of it, making the most of the lovely view of the lake. We were here ahead of the tourist season so pretty much had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed the use of a paddle boat the... More

Wonderful scenic stay. My husband and I hike and just enjoy the outdoors and we thoroughly enjoyed this location. The rooms were sparkling clean and comfortable and the grounds are well taken care of. My recommendation would be top book early if you want to stay at this gem of a location. Staff were friendly and curtious.

My wife and I stayed here on a whistle stop tour of New England. It was impeccably clean, had everything you'd expect and the view was astonishing. The room we booked had a 2 person whirlpool bath which was great. No problems filling it quickly and it was piping hot. Another interesting point is that it's next to a float... More

Chalet Moosehead is located in a tranquil park-like setting on the banks of Moosehead Lake. Surrounded by towering trees clothed in gold, red, green, and white birchbark and reflected in the serene waters of the lake, the two-story motel units are clean but spare. The efficiency unit smelled musty; however, the 2nd story unit with a two-queen-bed room was fresh... More

We stayed in a balcony room right on the water. The room was spacious, bright, and clean. The location is close to town but not in town. They offer free canoe use which would be great in the summer. The view from the balcony was great, a float plane docked across the way and a clear view of the lake... More
