Room smelled so bad had to immediately go buy candles to freshen it up and even that didn't help. Many cobwebs in room. Shower looked dirty and stained. Heater made terrible noises all night. Greetings at check in were less than pleasant. Did not get the room with a balcony or on 2nd floor that I was told I'd get.

We had a balcony room #26. Clean very comfortable. Coffee maker and fridge came in handy. Even made use of the jet tub. Love the fact there are chairs set up for viewing the lake. Paddle boats, ducks and loons. So relaxing watching the float planes take off and land. We took our flight with Currier next door. Visit with... More

We travel to Greenville every few years, and virtually always stay @ the Chalet Moosehead. You CANNOT beat the location. Steps from the base of Moosehead Lake, with ducks, geese and loons frequent visitors to the cove you overlook. Free paddle boats and canoes, a fire pit and outdoor seating, balcony rooms with whirlpool tubs... This year we were even... More

Drove up to Moosehead Lake not knowing what to expect...found this terrific hotel and stayed in the lakefront room. Standard, comfortable room with good heating system! Waking up to the gorgeous view of the lake, few tourists, and friendly nature of the locals made this a great place to visit for the weekend. Plan on another stay here in the... More

We have stayed at Chalet Moosehead three times. The rooms are spartan, but otherwise comfortable; there is a frig in each room. The views of the lake are lovely. Make sure to get a room with a balcony. Pets are accepted. Town is just a mile plus down the road, so it is easy to get to all the restaurants... More

This motel is in a fabulous location on the shores of Moosehead Lake. The standard motel room was clean and comfortable with a wonderful view of the lake. A coffee machine in the room would gave been a welcome addition.

We were here for one night. It's a typical motel room, simple but clean. Very nice lakefront property. Wifi was very slow. You can get coffee at the reception but you may want to take the car to the center for breakfast. Auntie M also offers sandwich lunch bags.

It's clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and efficient. The location is amazing, and there's lots to do. The price is reasonable. The rooms are rather plain, maybe even a bit dated, but (as I said) clean and comfortable. So there's really no reason not to stay at this place. I've stayed twice, and would go back.

WiFi doesn't work on the second floor at all.(rooms 16 and 17 at least.) Second floor balcony feels very flimsy. The right set of stairs is extremely inclined compared to normal stairs. The heat was accidentally left on the same time as the air conditioners fan and the owners wife was extremely unpleasant about it. We tried to explain it... More

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. Had to laugh over the boot tray in the room and lack of closet. It's an old-school motel, but you've got to love it. The room had a refrigerator. Had a beautiful view from our room of Moosehead Lake. The lawn has several spots to sit by the lake. I would... More
