The cabins are cozy and recently updated, the bathhouse had hot water, the lodge was lovely and the food super. Staff were very accommodating. We enjoyed hiking Gulf Hagas and Indian Mountain. Birdwatching was great. Only complaint was that our outhouse was leaky!

Every June a group of us ranging from 3 to 8 have gone to LLPC for about 5 years now and every time it's like going home. Great Staff, the cabins are rustic yet comfortable, the food is always delicious and plentiful, the scenery-straight from AMC Mag. Great time is always had by all. We have also gone snow shoeing... My wife and I spend 5 days at Little Lyford in early June. It was great. Every day we either hiked, canoed, fished, or just sat around enjoying the spectacular beauty of the place. We had our own little log cabin, and on the cool nights kept warm with the easy to use woodstove. We saw moose, fox, pileated woodpeckers, lots... More

The skiing in the area (and to get to the lodge was spectacular! The lodge was very clean, cozy and they serve excellent meals! We stayed in the bunkhouse, which was perfectly fine and we enjoyed the sauna and hot showers. The staff were friendly and helpful. We explored some of the surrounding area on skis and especially liked the... More

Wow. My fiancee and I spent a few days around New Year's eve at Little Lyford. The mercury did not rise above 0 F but that couldn't keep our spirits down. The cabins were cozy and well equipped to handle the cold. The cooks kept us very well fed with delicious meals (Chicken Curry, Biscuits and Gravy yum!). The trails... More

My husband and I once again choose to celebrate our anniversary at Little Lyford at the end of October. (Ironically, we met another couple from Rhode Island that had the same idea!) Everything was perfect – the staff extended their familiar warm welcome and we settled into a delicious dinner that was completed with homemade Maine blueberry pie for dessert.... More

We spent five fanastic days at Little Lyford. Staying at L.L. was an easy, relaxing, fun fall vacation. It had just the right ballance of comfort and adventure. We really enjoyed waking up in the cool fall mornings to go out on the quiet ponds to search for moose. We saw three, as well as beavers, and loons. There are several... More

Had the excitement and pleasure of my first AMC Adventure 2 weeks ago at LLL & Cabins. Wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff facilitated opportunities for some great foliage photographs. The Wilderness of Maine is really quite beautiful! And the food prepared by Steve was outstanding!

I have spent alot of time in the Maine woods, but never had the opportunity to stay at Little Lyford Camps. Little Lyford offers a true wilderness experience with out having to lug 60 pounds of gear into the back country. The lodges, most of which date back to 1873 have been rennovated and are in superb condition. The main... More

Our first time to the remote setting and worth the drive. The food is better than any restaurant in the city. You are in a remote part of Maine with no cell or wireless and gas lights for light. It is wonderful!! Saw moose rabbit snake and a loon that wanted our catch of the day. The trails are very... More
