Once we'd arrived at Little Lyford (after a loooong drive) everything was wonderful: cabin was clean and comfy, staff was friendly and helpful, food was plentiful and tasty. We could pretend to ourselves we were "roughing it", but really there were many amenities provided even though this is a wilderness camp. 1 of us hiked the beautiful, well marked hiking... More

Staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone who likes nature, hiking, walking, fishing. Cooks did an excellent job feeding us family style. Camps were very clean. Kudos to all!!!!

We spent the weekend at Little Lyford with a group of friends and our pups too! The trails were in excellent condition and well maintained. The food was delicious and the staff were comforting, welcoming and very friendly! The cabins are well maintained, clean, romantic and comfortable. The sauna was wonderful after a long day of skiing or snowshoeing. I... More

My eldest son and I did a three day hut to hut xcountry ski trip from the winter parking lot to Little Lyford then to Gorman Chairback then over Long Pond back to winter parking. Our heavier gear was shuttled so we only had to wear day packs. The trail is groomed but not tracked so metal edges improved performance especially... More

We spent a great week at Little Lyford Pond. All the hosts are very helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. They take time welcome you, and answer all your questions watching the stars drift across the evening sky. We had a wonder-full time

The AMC has taken hospitality seriously while maintaining a wilderness, rustic experience. Accommodation in winter included a sweet cabin without running water and a wood stove, and it all worked for us. Dinner and breakfast in the lodge with the other guests was a wonderful communal experience combined with excellent food. We have done many White Mountain AMC hut trips... More

The Little Lyford experience is incredible. The cabins are cozy and spotless, the staff is beyond accommodating (Chuck is FABULOUS!), the food is delicious, and there are so many fun activity options. I visited last weekend and the cross country ski trails were in PERFECT condition. It's a long drive up to Greenville Maine but skiing into this charming, storybook... More

The quality of the services and accomodation at LLPC has continued to improve over what it was when the camps were privately owned. The AMC has used its considerable financial and personnel resources to create lodging, meals, and trail maintenance which, when snow is adequate, provides a bucolic, tranquil experience which equals the best I have had elsewhere in the... Great location and staff, excellent accommodations and food, fantastic x-c skiing. Stayed in the bunkhouse with 10 others, quiet, all asleep by 9pm. Nice and warm with the wood stove. Loved the Carabasset Coffee. Will return.

My group and I were beyond pleased with our weekend at Little Lyford. Everything we experienced was more than we had expected - from the baggage transport from the parking lot, to the toasty warm cabin upon arrival, to the delicious and generous meals, we could not have asked for more. Chuck and his staff were welcoming and so accommodating.... More
