My father took our family to Weatherby's when I was a very young boy back in 1971. We had a good experience then and I finally made use of the opportunity to return. On this trip, I wanted to particularly fish for landlocked salmon, the fish that enthralled me as a child as I viewed them mounted on the walls... More

There can't be many places where this experience can be enjoyed. It is about the woods, the wildlife, the fly fishing, the hunting, dogs, camaraderie, hearty food, clean air, pristine water, magnificent scenery ...get it? The accommodation is somewhat irrelevant, but happens to be traditional cabin style with adequate everything conveniently sited around a central dining facility. All staff cannot... More

Caught lots of small mouth bass in St. Croix River with excellent guide from Weatherby's. Also fished Grand Lake Stream and enjoyed this beautiful oasis in the Maine woods. A good place to relax and enjoy the quiet beauty of the area.

This lodge provides everything you are looking for. Amazing fishing with easy access, fantastic meals, and clean rustic cabins. The staff is well trained and does a great job making your stay perfect. The owner, Jeff, goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. I will be back and would suggest this to anyone coming to Maine.

We came here for a Saturday evening dinner, which we had won at a raffle for the Downeast Lakes Land Trust. The menu of the day featured Memphis style dry rub ribs with cole slaw and Boston baked beans. They were great. To start, they served a beef soup, which was outstanding. Definitely will be back

We had a great family fishing trip at Weatherby's! The first day was on the famous Grand lake Stream fishing for salmon and trout. There is a path down to the river for easy access. The guides were both excellent. We are fairly new at fly fishing and this was the best instruction I have ever had and we caught... More

I stayed at Weatherby's this past weekend and the overall experience surpassed my expectations. This year we opted to stay at Weatherby's in Grand Lake Stream for our annual fly fishing trip. The last few years we had stayed in the Rangeley region and found that we spent most of our time, driving and hiking to our fishing spots and... More

First of all, thank you for the wonderful experience. My son and husband enjoyed the fishing and the incredible guides. The charm of our cabin, wood burning fireplace along with the call of the loons at night has us planning our return trip. We loved meeting fellow anglers at dinner. Thank you for your gracious hospitality, we will be back!

Cabins old, dirty, cold, poor plumbing. Bath towels old and ragged. Food average, 2 meals especially bad, the prime rib was very tough and way overdone. Hash breakfast mostly fat. Good baked bread and muffins. Bass fishing was small fish only for all groups we saw and talked to.
