My husband and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary at The Oxford House Inn. It was perfection from start to finish. I had pre-arranged for two glasses of wine and a fruit/cheese platter to be in our room when we checked in. There it was...artfully displayed and every morsel was delicious. The room was tastefully appointed and large enough for... More

MHubka, congratulations on 46 years together and for choosing to celebrate your anniversary at Oxford house Inn. The wine & cheese plate, a good choice for any celebration, is among our specials which can be added to any stay. We've tried to create a comfortable seating area in each guest room; so pleased you were able to relax upon your... More

When you arrive in Fryeburg it happens so quickly you don't know you are there, at least from the direction we arrived it seems more like an extension of North Conway, New Hampshire rather then arriving Maine, which in many ways adds to the attractiveness of the location. The Oxford House Inn what’s left of the Inn, which burned to... More

We hosted my sister's 60th birthday at the Oxford House in and it was a great success; due in no small part the venue and the excellent service we had at the Oxford House. There were 17 of us for dinner, which was in the main dining room, and we occupied 3 of the four rooms. My favorite guest rooms... More

This B & B located in the heart of Fryeburg is an extraordinary experience. From the scrumptious food to the cozy rooms, the whole experience was phenomenal. This was my third visit and my daughter's first overnight stay. We celebrated my daughter's birthday in style!

This is a very nice family run establishment, with friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in the Sewing Room, which is probably the smallest of the four rooms, but with beautiful views of the mountains. Our room was comfortable, although very compact. The ensuite bathroom is tiny, with just a toilet and shower facing, while the sink is in a... More

@Foxymerlin, thank you for taking the time to write. We have a wonderful staff and are gratified when our guests notice; I will pass along your comments. The Sewing Room is definitely a guest favorite with it's views and old world charm. Like many homes built in the early 1900's, all rooms would have shared one bath; we've been able... More

The Oxford House Inn was a dream come true from our first step into the reception area. Our room (the Porch Room) was lovely and welcoming. Before dinner we made our way downstairs to the cozy and intimate bar were we made friends quickly with other patrons and the wait staff. The appetizers were wonderful and inventive using farm fresh... More
