This lovely inn is owned and managed by a delightful couple, Hilary and Derek. The inn is spacious with a marvelous back porch (glass in winter and I am guessing screened in summer), filled with comfy wicker furniture, where you could easily get lost with a book for an entire afternoon. We chose to have our wedding at the Admiral Peary in June of 2008. The property was absolutely beautiful and Hilary the innkeeper was a pure delight. Despite the beautiful property and lovely guest room, the innkeepers at the Admiral Peary house were still able to disappoint us. We were shocked by Hilary's rudeness during our stay, but we didn't let it ruin our anniversary. We first came for two nights for a family gathering -- now we make Admiral Peary a four or five day treat on its own. Derrek and Hillary are welcoming, and Derrek's breakfasts wonderful and full of fruits and home-cooked. The rooms are all different and comfortable -- we have trouble chosing.
