Stayed the last weekend in May, 2015. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the owners were reminiscent of the graciousness and charm long departed from our society. Jane greeted us as we drove in. Even their mascot, a "Lab Adore" named Nick greeted us with welcoming warmth and gentility. The inn is a well-preserved, well-appointed Victorian, with... More

I look for three things in a B&B. First, it needs to make you feel like you are spending the night at grandma's house. This inn is nicely decorated, extremely clean, a little old fashioned and very homey. Check. Second, it needs to be in a nice little town that you can pretend is the place you live. Think Mayberry.... More

Very Clean and nice. Excellent walking location to LLBean. This was our first visit to the Nicholson Inn and it won't be out last. Our stay was like visiting with your favorite relatives. They gave us great information on our continued drive up the Maine coastline. It was just like having a personal tour guide. The generous breakfast was absolutely... More

We just spent three wonderful days in Freeport and the Nicholson Inn. From the time we checked in until we left, Jane and Alden made us feel right at home. The Inn was everything we had hoped it would be. Very clean home, excellent breakfast, perfect location and gracious hosts. A wonderful first time B&B experience. Dave & Sharon Rhode... More

My second stay here more than exceeded my expectations from the first time. Immaculate rooms, wonderful breakfasts, and a warm atmosphere courtesy of our hosts, Jane and Alden. Four nights of wonderful accommodations and service.

We only stayed one night at the Nicholson Inn in Freeport, Me., but we thoroughly enjoyed being there with Jane and Alden. They were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The rooms are very nice and have private baths. Breakfast was delicious and Jane was able to talk with us and treat us like family. The Inn is... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nicholson Inn in Freeport Maine. It was a very clean and neat B & B with much attention to detail. Wonderfully decorated rooms, comfortable beds and private baths. Quite cozy too, and the breakfast was delicious. This property is within walking distance of many good restaurants and excellent shopping including the flagship store... More

Proprietors Jane and Alden are LOVELY. From the kind and warm welcome as walk-ins for one night to the homemade applesauce that preceded the breakfast of french toast and bacon, they made us feel at home. The rooms were good sized, each has it's own bath. Due to a full upstairs remodel (can't remember how long ago), this is not... More

The inn is located in the heart of Freeport from where you have a walking distance to shops and restaurants. But convenient location of the inn is only one feature I would like to emphasise. The most important is the atmosphere our hosts provided for us. We stepped into a house full of family treasures and history from generations past.... More

We try to do bread and breakfasts when we can and Nicholson's by far is the best we have stayed. Comfortable clean room, great breakfast, parking on the property and walking distance to town .... a wonderful friendly atmosphere. The owners make you feel so welcomed. If you asked any questions about the area, they were right there with the... More
