We stayed at the Econo Lodge in Freeport, Maine, on Tuesday, 8/19/14. I though the rate was a little pricey for an Econo Lodge, but it was competitive with other motels in the area. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We had read reviews stating the first floor was a little noisy, so we requested and got a... More

This was one of the worst hotels that I stayed at on a 16 day road trip and WAY overpriced. It cost me more than a couple of lovely places I stayed in much nicer settings. Dirty, old, uncomfortable bed, noisy. I really can't think of anything good to say about it except it was pet friendly which was necessary... More

We needed an inexpensive hotel for one night prior to flying out of Portland after an evening at Bowdoin College Museum of Art, and stayed here last minute. With AAA discount it was still over $90, overpriced. But no complaints other than noisy refrigerator in room. In comparison we stayed at nearby Hilton Garden Inn at beginning of trip, which... More

Dear PatAnn25, Thank you for your review of our Econo Lodge! Our hotel is one of the top Econo Lodge's in the country but more budget friendly than the higher end hotels. With that being said our staff strives to provide an excellent product and great service. Our price like all hotels fluctuates during different times of the year. We... More

I was a bit skeptical at first and was pleasantly surprised. I would normally stay in a bit higher end but, what found was a clean room with nice TV and plenty of hot water. Very comfortable bed and was peaceful the nights I was there. I would stay again at the price I paid.

Clean rooms, wonderful staff, a good night sleep and a yummy breakfast. What more could one want for an overnight stay. We were even late for breakfast but the staff offered to get us somethings and stopped putting away things in case we wanted it. Great locations for coming to or leaving Acadia and hitting the LL Bean store. No... More

We stopped here for one night on our way up the coast to Acadia National Park. The location is convenient, right off the highway, and the rooms are clean. The breakfast was typical of Econolodge's but good and convenient. The Location is close to the outlets and LL Bean. Overall good choice!

Again, this easy access facility did not disappoint. Nice and clean accommodation; well equipped and comfortable mattresses. Breakfast was ample with lots of choice. This is our go-to location when shopping in, or passing through, Freeport.

For a one night stay, this was perfect. The room was clean, the bed was great and the staff was very welcoming. The place isn't fancy but it gets the job done. The location was just what we needed for a drive up from Boston. Also, it is one of the few hotels in the area that accepts pets without... More

We travel south in the fall and north in the spring and generally make this our first stop heading south and last stop heading north. Mainly because of location but we have been satisfied with this hotel over the past 6 years. It was newly renovated when we first stayed but has been kept up to acceptable standards .The breakfast...
