We spent 5 nights here, and were pleased with all aspects. Room was simple motel-style, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast filling and fun, as host kept us entertained with stories and made sure everyone was included in conversations. Quiet location on edge of town, walkable to everything. Beautiful library just across the street, worth a visit, especially if you have... More

Stayed here twice this past summer on our way to and from Cape Cod. Comfortable room with a great breakfast. Easy walking distance to LL Beans. Will certainly stay again. A couple of excellent restaurants and a MacDonalds within easy walking distance as wll.

Their simple 10x10 motel-type rooms will work for travelers who will not spend much time in the room. You will save more then half of the cost of a regular hotel. It is a pleasant 15 minute walk to the LL Bean campus and to other shopping and restaurants. (A block from McDonald's for cheap eats.) During our two visits,... More

We stayed twice this summer ...single overnights ...and were very pleased. The building in back of this property provided peace and quiet for sleep , yet you could easily walk to the shops . A minor detail ...the pillows could be updated to fuller, fluffier ...I stress though ...minor . Parking was a breeze ...close and safely off street . The... More

Stayed here for one night in August as a stopover on our way to New Brunswick. When I made our booking I was informed that there was only a room available in their Motel Units located behind the actual Village Inn. As it was only a one night stay I went ahead and booked the room. The room was dated... More

My wife and I stayed here for the first time. The rate was very fair, the room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. The owners Lewis and Jacqueline made us feel right at home. The Inn is near town and is walking distance. We will stay here again whenever we are in the area.

My husband and I stayed there for two nights in July. We were entirely satisfied with our stay. The breakfast was excellent and the company in the dining room was quite pleasant. The room was quite clean, the bed comfortable, the neighborhood lovely and safe, the location convenient - not in the center of the Freeport Action (which would have... More

We had a wonderful stay. The owners are very friendly and really welcome you when you arrive. The breakfast was made to order fresh and quick friendly service. The room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but suitable. We were in close walking distance to downtown and would greatly recommend going for a lobster dinner at Jameson Tavern, the price... More

We really enjoyed our stay in the Village Inn. Yes, the rooms are basic but they were extremely clean and comfortable! We were there for 3 nights and I looked forward to breakfast every morning because not only was it a tasty hot breakfast but you could always depend on lots of laughs and lively conversation. The innkeepers were also... More

The rooms are small, the mismatched decor is outdated, and some of the beds squeak....BUT The Village Inn is still the best bargain in Freeport. It is clean and comfortable with in-room wifi, and the rates are reasonable. The cooked-to-order breakfast is delicious --- and the cook himself is an entertaining hoot! Plus, you can walk to every store and restauarant... More
