I didn't plan where I was going to stay when I left Long Island with my dog; I just had my AAA "Traveling With Your Pet" book, maps and my cell phone. My final destination was Bar Harbor, and I just happened to pick Freeport as my stop before going there. When I called, the voice on the phone was... more

We have stayed here several times, most recently the nights of 9/12/08, 9/13/08 on the third floor, room #316. Our room had a king bed, comfortable chair and ottoman and this is the room we would pick again, we slept great! The cafe on the property serves three meals a day and is great start with the breakfast. Brian at... more

This was our first stay at a Best Western and it was great. We mainly chose it because it was a dog friendly hotel. The hotels location was perfect for the areas we traveled to. The rooms were clean and roomy. The beds were really comfortable as well. The Cafe was great for breakfast. The entire staff that we had... more

We stayed at the Best Western Freeport on our way to Bar Harbor. We did have to wait awhile to get someone to help us. I think he was over ordering dinner. He was pleasant enough. He gave us a rate and than we presented a coupon, he did not hesitate to give us the lower rate. I also had... more

We've stayed at this place twice in the past year and both times we experienced the same issue. The overwhelming smell of old cigarette smoke permeates everything. Our first stay in April of '07 we checked in late and left early the next morning. Everywhere else in Freeport was booked so we had no choice. Both of our clothes carried... more

After staying at this great place I decided towrite a review. I then read through them. We loved the BW and especially the Cafe. I was surprised to read the review before. They must have been confused with some other place. $300? Oh well. We had a room for $89, which for the area was a very good value. We... more

I read Trip Advisor very often but this is the first time I had such a terrible experience that I must write it down. We needed to stay there during Thanksgiving because we were meeting our daughter's future in-laws for the first time. The in-laws picked the hotel because they said the hotel is fine and they will give you... more

My husband and I spent one night here during our week long drive up the coast of Maine. While the hotel itself is not particularly memorable (nothing bad, just your usual decent hotel), the front desk staff was great. We were in the process of purchasing a car and needed to fax some documents to the dealership. The front desk... more

I can't really say anything bad about this hotel. But I can't really find anything good to say, either. My family stayed there for two nights on our weekend at the NAS Brunswick airshow. The staff were pleasant and the room was clean. But it lacked any character and didn't try to be anything except a room to stay. The... more

I've stayed here before and everything was great this time too. The service is very reliable and I get a lot of hotel for the price, particularly since I usually pick up the discount coupon on the highway. Staff is always friendly, rooms are always clean. more
