It is becoming increasingly difficult to find chain hotels that allow pets, so this place is a treat because it not only allows, but welcomes, your furry friend. From the bowl of bones in the lobby to the waste bags near the exercise area, your dog will feel at home. I especially appreciated that on checkin, the desk staff asked... More

I've stayed here twice and it's a great place to stay in the Freeport/LL Bean area. It is a few miles from all the shopping, but it's kind of nice to get away from it when you're done for the day. I agree that the footsteps are easily heard so even the top floor can be noisy, though. When they... More

If you are in for the usual shopping extravaganza in Freeport including the LL Bean facilities, this is a good location to stay at. A bit down the highway, but away from the hustle and bustle of Freeport itself. Facilities are at par with the Best Western Chain. More

Ask for a top floor otherwise you will hear every footstep from people above you....every movement. Odd that it was 40 degrees and raining when I got here and my hotel windows were cranked wide open. The room was clean...especially for a pet friendly hotel...it was the main office, hotel stairwell that smelled like a kennel (nice welcome !). Not... More

We stay here whenever we are in the Portland or Freeport area of the Maine coast. It has always been an excellent value compared to staying in the greater Portland area where the room rates are considerably higher. It's only a short drive to Old Port in Portland or LL Bean in Freeport. Our rooms have always been clean and... More

This hotel was decent; clean and orderly room for a good price. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We had requested a crib during the booking process and they ensured that one was in our room and ready when we arrived. The hotel had two buildings for their rooms seperated by several hundred yards; in our case, check-in and... More

We were in the area for one night and looking for an affordable stop, the price was right but the accomodations were all wrong. Our room smelled bad, not sure if it was mildew or wet dog smell - either way, not good. The toilet in our room wasn't secured to the floor, wobbled and had a piece of cardboard... More

I, along with the three other adults in our party, we VERY disappointed in our experience at this hotel. We stayed in the other building, behind the Muddy Rudder. Our room was not cleaned to the level that I would expect in a Best Western. To start, the comment card in the room was DIRTY with white sprinkles from the... More

PLeasanr staff, fast check-in/out. Very comfortable room. We stayed in the building that is down the road from the office. There is no elevator so be sure and ask for a first floor room if you have trouble climbing stairs. Very nice view of the river from my 2nd floor room. More
