This is a perfectly adequate hotel. Pluses included: a location that's very convenient to Freeport and the surrounding areas, in-room mini fridges, pet friendly, very pleasant housekeeping staff. Minuses included: a 45-minute wait to check in even though we arrived well after check-in time and they wouldn't give us the room keys until the room was ready so we had... More

The only things going for this hotel were that it accepted pets (and charged for them by the night) and it was near the coast of Maine (beautiful surroundings). Other than that, the hotel fell flat. The room floor was wet. The room, in general, was in need of some major renovation. Paying $130/night was a huge slap in the... More

We went through Priceline to find a nice spot for a romantic getaway and a couple days/nights of shopping and sightseeing in Freeport Me. We asked for a quiet room with a queen or a king bed. We were told that only 2 double beds were available--probably a "Priceline thing" the desk attendant said. At that point I was starting... More

This hotel was a nice spot to spend the night. I chose it because it had some pet friendly rooms. The rooms were nice size and very clean. The hotel sits on a hill above a marsh. It is a few minutes drive to the LLBean Outlet in Freeport.

We needed to change our room to one on ground level due to the fact that my traveling companion needed to use a walker and couldn't make the stairs necessary to get to the original reservation. The check in clerk said there would be no problem. We arrived at 3:15 p.m. and could not get into a room until after... More

Check in was uneventful. Rooms are actually on two different sections of the property. One section is behind the Muddy Rudder restaurant. The back section of the property are some tidal estuaries (locals refer to them as mudflats when the tide is out) that are very unique and pristine. Rooms in the section behind the Muddy R was quiet, clean... More

We had reservations here and the room wasn't ready by the time promised. We had to go and kill over an hour before we got into our room. No wifi. Poor tv selections. No hair dryer. Desk staff didn't handle the situation very well. Don't take a reservation for a room that wasn't complete and ready for people to stay.... More

Hotel was comfortable, continental breakfast exceeded expectations. Maid service was the best. It was close to the National Park and yet close enough to restaurants and souvenir shops to be convenient. Staff directed me to an excellent local seafood restaurant, The Chart House, that was on the water and had excellent seafood.

The hotel is split over a large piece of property. Our section was behind the restaurant. The pool was located near the office. Not convenient when you have kids that want to use the pool. We had to drive to get there. If you are staying for one night, then this hotel is fine.
