We LOVED the Captain Briggs House! MY husband and our 3 year old son had a wonderful stay. Beautiful and comfortable room. Breakfast was gourmet delicious! Bev is a great cook and Chuck is a great conversationalist. We truly enjoyed our stay and plan to return. They are in a great location. Convenient to LL Bean and all the outlets.... more

Bev and Chuck make staying here a most pleasant experience. On a quiet street just out of the main hub of Freeport, it is still close enough that you can walk into town if you care to. Quaintly decorated rooms, nice grounds, and the host and hostess make you feel right at home the minute you walk through the door.... more

The owners of this inn are new and have great plans for upgrading and improving it. It is clean and very basic. The bed was comfortable but the bedding is showing signs of wear- thin sheets, faded blankets, but otherwise comfortable. The breakfast was exceptionally good. We were there on Parent's Weekend and so the resturants were crowded and impossible... more
