Just returned from Joel's lodge after spending a week Bear Hunting with his family and co-workers. The FOOD was FANTISTIC even for 23 hunters; if you went away hungry it was your own fault. The game room was fun with a pool table, the dining area was large enough with a TV to watch the weather or your favorite show... More

We booked a spring bear hunt with Joel and the crew. I cannot say enough about the lodge. The accomadations were top notch. The food was some of the best I've eaten. You will not go away hungry. These are fine people who treat you like family. There were 4 of us who went. 2 of us killed bears and... More

Everything was great from the accommodations to the moose guide service. Well worth the money!! Brian the guide was especially knowledgable when it came to finding the moose, we saw 33 moose in less than 3 full days. Thanks again.

This was the best lodge I have ever stayed in. The owners and staff treat you like you are family and the food and care in which it is prepared is tops. My son and I booked a fall Bear hunt there Sept 4-10 2011. We did not see any Bear that week due to the full moon phase but... More

Extremely clean, great bunks for a teen group. However I cannot not recommend the Trackdown for two reasons. First they failed to honor one night of our reservations leaving our bus driver without a previously confirmed and paid for room. Their thinly veiled explanation was that they "thought the bus driver would be more comfortable with the parent chaperons," but... More

While there are not many places to stay in the Fort Kent area, one that definitely stands out is Track Down Kennels and Lodge in Wallagrass (3 miles from Fort Kent). The place was extremely reasonable in price, very comfortable, and exceptionally clean - not to mention the most personable owners one could ever meet! There is a deck with... More
