Excellent food and service for my parents joint 80th Birthday celebrations. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and the peace in the private dining room was a bonus. Food served with a smile. Highly recommended.

This is without a doubt Shiplake’s tourist and local hotspot, as a Henley local I’ve been coming to this pub on and off for over 10 years so wouldn’t usually write a review but since the recent handover to Kevin I feel I much say the quality of food, service and overall ambience really has surpassed his predecessors. The introduction... More

Friendly, helpful, comfortable and excellent flood and drink. The staff were excellent and could not do enough to help us. Even though the weather was not favourable the ambience and attentiveness was first class. We would definitely go back.

Recently stayed here for one week. Overall very good impression with friendly staff, clean rooms and good food. The party they organised for us was excellent with good food and discreet service. The down side was that the bedroom was quite cold at times but we were there in a very cold period. Would definitely go back there and use... More

Had a lovely meal in the restaurant yesterday evening. The tables are a little bit cheap, but the food was excellent and the service was very friendly, if a little bit slow at times. Don't get me wrong, we'll be going back. Around the table we tried the swordfish, the steak and ale pie and the pheasant - and everybody... More

We've had dinner at the Baskerville tonight and it was delicious. The steak and ale pie was excellent and they have a cracking wine list and we chose a lovely Malbec from Argentina. Sadly we didn't have enough room for pudding however we had great hosts and service

Enjoyed a very nice family meal within the hotel restaurant's lovely atmosphere. The rooms were very comfortable and all the staff very friendly. Also it is right beside Shiplake train station which was very helpful! Definitely recommended for a stay on the Thames.

We visit the Baskerville on a very regular basis to eat as our son boards at a nearby school. The food from the restuarant is the best around. I particularly recommend the soups which are always heavenly! The staff are lovely and the service is excellent. They also have a very good wine list. The ambiance in both the bar... More

A very friendly pub/hotel with good size rooms and cozy restuarant. Evening meal was very good, but the breakfast was excellent. Service was good at all times Bathrooms could do with slight refresh, but would and will go back.
