I visited in autumn when the main campground had closed. As such we didn't have access to facilities or services. The few outside campsites were permitted for camping, and we parked our RV for a night-over. The morning greeted us with tall beautiful trees, blooming in colors, and a calm and tranquil lake Flagstaff that reflected the blue skies and... More

Our family returned to Cathedral Pines each year. We have traveled across country and this place rates as the best campground we have ever stayed at in the whole entire country. Yup, it's that good. The pines give amazing shade and protection on windy days. A country store next door has Kayak rentals for $10 a day!

The setting is gorgeous and is located on Flagstaff Lake. The pine grove easily sports trees that are 80 feet tall. Campsites are immaculately clean. Ours was raked before we arrived. CP's is well maintained throughout. We really enjoy a water view and found spots 61, 64, 21 and 15 to offer the most open views of the Lake. Some... More

this place was great for time to relax. Staff was friendly and helpful. Campground was clean and well maintained. Showers are free and clean with good water pressure. Sites are large and level under huge red pine trees. Roads are paved. There are hiking trails and ATV trails.

Cathedral Pines Campground is well maintained, the sites are large and spacious and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend this campground to people who are just going to relax or to ride the ATV trails. But if you are going here expecting to be entertained the whole time, don't get your hopes up. Although it is clean and... More

This campground is clean and well maintained. Showers are free and there is a coin operted laundry. Myself, adult daughter and grandson spent 5 nights tent camping here. When we arrived at our site #15 next to the boat dock, my daughter asked me if I was sure the entire site was ours! Some campgrounds would have made two sites... More

I searched for a while for a place to stay in the Rangeley/Carrabasset Valley area before deciding that Cathedral Pines looked like my best option. I was even more convinced after driving around the area over several days. These are beautiful, huge, clean, level, fairly private campsites sheltered beneath towering pines; I only saw 1 or 2 sites that I... More

We have camped here several summers with my family, and loved it every time. Definitely recommend calling early to get a lakefront site. All sites are a good size and the pines keep most of the sites pretty private compared to other campgrounds. The facilities are all well kept and easily accessible. The lake is beautiful and all the campers... More

We stayed here for one night as we were travelling through Maine. We stayed in a large tent with shelter. The sites were spacious and well maintained and the bathrooms were clean. Gorgeous scenery on site - next to lake and mountains. Would've loved to stay longer to explore

This is one of the only campgrounds in this area, but we were not disappointed. We were heading to the area primarily to hike. Staff was great at the office. Wireless internet available only near the office, but still nice. (Full Verizon 3g service on my phone at the campground too). Sites were clean, picnic tables and fire pits (concrete,... More
