We neede a place to stay on our way to Portland. We really wanted a place where we could grab breakfast in the morning. It was late October and many places were closed for the season We expected a certain level of accommodations from a Holiday Inn but were very disappointed. Check in was fine. The carpets throughout thre hallways... more

This is an old Holiday Inn in a very outdated building. It was kept clean but it was an old facility and looked it. There is lots of wear and tear on the building and it badly needs updating. We asked for a quiet room and were put in the "pet friendly" wing without being told it was that section... more

We found the Ellsworth Holiday Inn to be clean, accommodating, and convenient. Just a short ride outside of Acadia National Park, the location put you right in the heart if anything you needed, but is situated in a way that you do not see or hear traffic when you are in the room. The pool and jacuzzi are well-kept up,... more

Typical room. First floor, windows open but wouldn't lock. My fault, I should've called the front desk. Easy to find. Some smoking rooms, yay! more

The room was dark, dated, and dirty. The beds were like sleeping on a slab of concrete. Literally the hardest bed I've ever slept on in my life. At $110 for the night I wanted to cry at how bad this was. We would've complained had the person at the front desk been some aside from the cute old lady... more

This hotel, for the price is the biggest gyp we have encountered in a very long time. We had a dog friendly room, for which we paid a hefty supplement, hadn't been updated in eons, not so much as a comfortable chair. Clean yes, but an insult at there usorous prices. Never, never, never...I'd rather sleep in my car. more

We stayed here after checking out of the Drydock Inn in Southwest Harbor, because it was a dump. (The nicer places in Southwest Harbor were full because of fall foliage season.) Ellsworth is nothing special but close to Acadia NP so driving was easy. The Holiday Inn was very functional - clean and comfortable and everything worked. Front desk was... more

I’m not sure why this place has a number of poor reviews, but I just got back from a two night stay there and would absolutely recommend it to everyone. Because of the reviews I only booked for one night and was very worried, but we ended up staying the next night, too. It was a perfect spot to be... more

I can't believe how bad this hotel was! My church group and I went up there for a Ladies Conference. When I walked into my room with another girl who was bunking with me it was so hot we couldn't breathe. Then we turned on the air and it blew warm air for the longest time. When it came time... more

I saw a coupon in our local paper for Stay One Night Stay Another Free so I decided it would be nice to stay there for the weekend as a relaxation trip. Check in was fine although the front desk staff seemed a little frazzled. We were assigned to Room 231 and walked in to a wall of heat. The... more
