The reviews here are spot on! Quaint little motel that makes you feel as if you've stepped back in time. The furnishings are definitely old but are clean and in great shape. Our room was located in the building located to the back left of the office. The windows were open but it still appeared to have been closed up... More

We stayed one night after making phone reservations in advance. Best part of this stay was the help from people running this conveniently located motel. The sweet woman on the phone was very helpful with details and her follow up email confirmation. The front desk staffperson was helpful, very informative, and accomodating. His suggestions for visits in Acadia and local... More

Stayed here overnight twice because of the convenient location while camping and traveling in a rainy late September week. Simple, comfortable enough shelter for our needs. We wished it cost less, but needed a place out of the rain and there are few bargains in this area.

The Twilite has the feel of an old-fashioned family run motel: an excellent change of pace from the chains. We have stayed twice and on both occasions the customer service was excellent: this time two minor problems arose but they were quickly, cheerfully, efficiently solved by Chuck. Rooms at the back are large and more protected from highway sounds during... More

We stayed 2nights it was comfortable we had their breakfast was ok. Beds we're comfy. Good price. Bathroom small but it's only to take a bath. Close to town. Friendly owners, and knowledgeable of the area.

The Twilite looks like the Bates Motel -- many years later: much in need of upgrading and manicuring, particularly the exterior. But the rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. They include the usual amenities: coffee pot, fridge. There is a basic continental breakfast. The family members who own/operate the motel are very friendly and accommodating as are the staff.... I chose this little motel by way of trip advisor. I took my chances since the reviews were good. I booked it for 10 days and wish it had been only a few. They have a ridiculous policy about cancelations so I was stuck. Room was ok for as old as it is. My problem was with the poor housekeeping... More

Mr. Jensen booked a room for 9 nights and chose to stay an extra night. We fail to understand his decision in view of his complaints. During his stay he did not complain, even once, regarding any issues with the room function, or housekeeping, and thus there was no way for us to attend to any of his concerns. Just... More

Would recommend!! Nice change from the chains! Comfortable room, very nice couple run it and were very helpful. It is sorta hard to find, but he will help you if you call. He stayed on the phone and "guided" us in!! So nice! Would return if in the area. Nice contnental breakfast in a relaxing sun room. Nice way to... More

The hosts at Twilite Motel are very friendly and helpful, recommending a great place to eat in nearby Hancock (Ruth & Wimpy's for lobster at a great price). The motel rooms are clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room, but you'll get a very nice continental breakfast (with great coffee) in... More

Second stay at this hotel during a trip to the US. The couple running the place are very nice and the hotel is very well kept. The rooms are nothing fancy but the price is right, and you can park right outside your room. Comes with a continental breakfast, which is very basic. Easy driving distance to downtown Ellsworth.
