I have two issues with this property. First, received a letter in the mail informing me how to obtain my keys on arrival. No one was present - just pick up the key. From what I could tell only two people (including myself) were staying in the main building. We never saw andy staff - granted it was off-season but... More

Our family has been staying at the Sheepscot for almost 40 years, and we have seen some major changes over the years. One of the positive changes was the renovation of the property, which brought a much nicer restaurant to Wiscasset. However, the restaurant closed down about two years ago. (Included in the price of room and cabins at the... More

We love the Sheepscot River Inn. We have stayed there a few times in the last three years for short stays. We bring our dog which they allow in some units. Their cottages are clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with wonderful appliances in the kitchen area. We have our own cottage on the Sheepscot River but it is strictly seasonal... More

We got a nice cabin right on the river with an amazing view. The cabin was very, very nice and new and the price was excellent. About a 10 minute drive from Boothbay Harbor. Only downs were the bed being a full-size (I'm 6'4) and the breakfast was sorta meh.

We had the marine-style-cottage at the river shore and it was amazing. About 170 $ for 2 bedrooms and livingroom with a great view and museum-like interieur. It was worth the money - we enjoyed it very much. I can`t tell anything about the rest of the Inn. Big recommendation for the cottage!

The four of us rented a privately-owned cabin for one night for about $180. I think we got such a good rate because some construction was occuring around us (in fact, the power was briefly out when we arrived). The cabin was beautifully furnished and immaculate. It had one bathroom w/shower, a kitchen/living area, and two bedrooms. Nice view of... More
