We have been here previous years summer and winter and loved the friendly couple owners who made sure all guests were comfortable including homemade berry muffins for breakfast. We went with friends for Gardens Alglow and we’re so disappointed. The inn has obviously been sold. Our room would not lock, renovations were apparently going on with boxes inside and outside everywhere including the breakfast room. Breakfast was minimal with packaged muffins. So sorry we will not be back

Was up in the area going to the Aglow lights at the Botanical Garden in Boothbay. Was 15 min drive to the lights from the Inn. Cod Cove Inn is an adorable place! Nice view from almost every room. Thought it was very clean, soft towels. The only complaint was the bed. Definitely was not the comfiest. But all in all would totally stay there again. Saw they were doing some upgrades to other rooms, so maybe next time there will be some comfier beds. 🤞

We stayed here as a base when we visited the Maine Botanical Gardens Christmas lights. The room we had was dated and had a funky odor. The beds were comfortable. The view from the room is of Rte I and Rte 27. The breakfast was minimal, but I am not a big fan of breakfast so it served me fine

This was a cozy little surprise on a rainy, dreary weekend. The GM was very kind with a great dinner restaurant rec. right down the road. Breakfast was light and perfect and the entire building was spotless, warm and inviting. A return trip is an absolute!

More if a 60s motel than a charming inn. Very basic motel room. Old fixtures. Uncomfortable bed with only a sheet and the bedspread. No blanket. Advertising made it sound better so a big disappointment. High price for crappy room. Breakfast was minimal with spoiled orange juice. Only protein hard boiled cold eggs. Self serve. Nowhere near worth it.

It was conveniently located to area attractions. I liked that we could get on route one and visit different locations. Room was very clean. It had a heated pool. A simple but good breakfast. Staff was very accommodating and best of all it is pet friendly. We would stay here again.

We spent two days at Cod Cove to take advantage of going to Wiscasset and other nearby destinations. It's perched on a hill away from traffic and is easy to travel to our favorite beaches, art galleries, and restaurants. The new manager, Nick, was very helpful and clearly wanted to make our stay pleasant and comfortable.

Very disappointing considering the price - establishment is clearly taking advantage of being the only option in the area. The room had no USB ports, no house phone, and the room had not had a good cleaning in some time, based on the amount of dust present. The sink was in poor repair. There was a meager supply of coffee creamers, and a request at the desk for more went unfulfilled.

We stayed 1 night on our way up to Acadia. Location was excellent, right off Rt 1. Room was super clean and had a nice view., sits atop a hill. Very cozy and quaint and best of all, they allow dogs. Of course, there is an extra fee! Very quiet area and not to far from some eateries, try the Barnhouse Grill, great burgers. Only complaint or should I say disappointment was the breakfast which they advertise as a full breakfast. I guess our interpretation and theirs is a bit different. There were mostly carbs and in the only 2 hot/steam pans were home fries and sticky buns! Nothing to accompany the home fries like eggs or waffles. And no orange juice available. I think they need to revamp the breakfast, but it was a spacious breakfast room with outside seating. But overall, a pleasant quick stay and we would certainly stay again as there is much to see in that area.

Response from Property Management, Owner at Cod Cove Inn
Responded Dec 6, 2022
We greatly appreciate guest feedback, thank you. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay and the close proximity to Rt. 1. We serve a continental breakfast not a full breakfast, and have likely altered it a bit over the last few weeks. We've brought back our famous house-made muffins! We do hope you'll stay with us again when visiting the area.
