The reviews were misleading to say the least! Very poor for a high price. Just old and rundown. No coffee in room, but cups and such. Carpet was dirty and chairs were old. Had a nice dinner at the Happy Crab down the street.

Well, we arrived and found no other accommodation so went for this motel as it seemed to have a lovely view. It turned out that that was the only positive. We were overcharged but that was sorted eventually. The décor was miserable and dated and the worst thing was the smell of stale cigarette smoke (I have been a smoker... More

The location of this motel was wonderful and the room was large. Unfortunately that is where all the positives end. We were in the area in March when all the other motels, hotels, and campgrounds were closed. The room was heated by a edenpure heater which made the air so dry I had trouble breathing. Maybe that is why the... More

Nice location, big rooms, microwave sink and fridge in each room. but very dated and old beds furnature bedding etc. Trash under the bed just not clean or kept up. Stayed as it was the only hotel open this week. Rather expensive too.

We stayed here for a night in October 2014. We were attracted by the superb waterfront location with vews across to Deer Island and the harbour. The view was the best thing about the property. It was miserably equiped. Our room was a 'suite', with a fridge, sink and microwave. There was no coffee maker, one plate, three forks ,... More

Many of the guests seemed to be heavy smokers and the rooms reeked of smoke. In September, the motel catered mostly to construction workers (that may have explained the smoke) who carried on loud conversations and joking from one floor to the next. Management paid little attention to detail; there were missing light bulbs in the room and no soap... More

We made reservations here months ahead as there were few places to stay in Eastport. I expected a minimal motel room. However, our room was very big with two queen beds, table, two big chairs, a desk, tv cabinet with drawers and a kitchenette with refrigerator & microwave. Also, a large, clean bathroom. To top it all off there were... More

A friend and I were touring the Eastport area and were looking for a place to spend the night. There are not many places to stay, so we decided to try the Motel East. We went to the office and it was closed. We had difficulty with our cell phones, so an employee at one of the stores on the... More

WOW! We were pleasantly surprised with Motel East. Being pretty much the only motel in town, $120 for a LARGE 2-queen suite complete with small fridge, microwave and sink we were very happy. The view from the balcony was like a postcard. Ok, the room isn't the Hilton, but I don't stay at the Hilton unless it is a comp... More

This motel has location, location, location! The rooms are average, but were clean. All of the rooms have an ocean view. We had the end room at the ground level and enjoyed the balcony a great deal, esp. at sunrise and sunset. It's a 30 second walk to the center of town, where you can get fresh bakery goods from...
