My husband and I love this camp ground. We camped there every major Holiday in 2013. We love the fact that we can bring our dogs. We actually are getting a seasonal camp site next summer with our friends getting a camp site next to us! This campground has it all--lake, beautiful campsites, great owners...the list goes on! Can't wait... More

Plenty of activities for the kids, great playground. We camped down near the lake. Our daughter's family was with us and our granddaughter (6) LOVED being able to walk over and go fishing as much as she wanted. She also loved the playground. Bonfire every Saturday and many other activities throughout the summer that you can either take part in... More

Great place managed very well by good people. Other campers were friendly. We stayed for a pot luck supper which was lots of fun. The campground has a beach non a lovely clean lake, boat dock, clean showers, a pavilion with food, and all kinds of great things for kids. It is dog friendly which made us very happy. We... More

I have stayed at this Camp for a few weeks every year, for three or four years now. The owners are always trying to add more, makeing the stay better and more enjoyable. This year they started offering horse riding lessons, and they have a candy/ice cream area, next to the camps kitchen and pavilion. Balsam Cove is as advertized,... More

Balsam Cove is an "Awesome Family Campground". We stayed there 4 weeks having ice cream every night from their ice cream trailer. Picked wild raspberries. Watched the kids (ages 1 - 80) having fun on the weekend hay rides. The location is close to everything (groceries, hardware, vet, restaurants, post office, etc., etc.). The owners and staff were always helpful... More

Our children have enjoyed themselves more at this campground than they have at any other. The owners are very pleasant and go out of their way to make... More

We love staying a week every season at Balsam Cove Campground. It's location is convenient to everything and there is plenty to do right at the campground! They offer a HUGE Bonfire every Saturday night for all the campground, hay rides for the kids and put on special events like "Christmas in July" for guests to decorate their site and... More

This is a great family campground but when we had something stolen the owners were very negative about helping us out. They said that the contract said that they were not "responsible" for anything that happened there. We had a public business for over 25 yrs. and had signs and "contracts" that said "not responsible", etc. but we always tried... More

So sorry you feel that way Marcia. As for any of our campers, seasonal or day use. The campground is not responsible for damage or loss to personal property. We have owned the campground 6 years/ 7 seasons and have never had any incidents of stolen property. Campers leave all their belongings here even when going away for weeks at... More

We stayed here last summer and had a great time! We rented two sites one for tents and one for our camper and came in with our family and had a great time. We rented a double kayak while we were there and everyone got to take turns using it. Also my 8 year old daughter loved the tractor that... More
